Unfortunately, we've had a few people lately creating accounts and spamming threads as well as PM's with advertisements. If you get a PM advertising something, please report the PM to the Moderators.
If you see a thread advertising something(like in-game currency for real money), don't post in the thread- just report it or PM a Moderator who can deal with it. I've closed many of these threads lately, and each one has had 5-10 posts of people replying, if not more. Posting something like "you're going to get banned", or things like this can be considered spamming, and get you in trouble as well, not to mention that it bumps the offending thread back to the top of the forum. Just let these threads die, and let the moderators know so we can take action against the people doing this.
It's regrettable that this is happening, and we're doing the best we can to keep the forums free of this type of activity. However, some help is appreciated in reporting these people so that the staff here can take fast action.
FORUM GUIDELINE UPDATES: Advertisements, Double posts, and Spam

Hello all,
Guild Wars Guru has always been committed to preserving the quality of posts on these forums, as well as cutting down needless spam.
Double posts
In these forums, a double posts consists of any two consecutive posts from the same user. It does not matter whether or not the contents differ -- if no one else's words or opinions come between two posts from the same person, it's a double post.
As the EDIT button will never disappear, you can always go back to edit your last post and add new thoughts. The practice of "bumping" is highly discouraged in these forums. If people wish to respond to your thread, they will add their opinions without the need of repeated spammed "bumps." Repeated "bumping" of a thread will most likely lead to the thread's deletion, instead.
Recently, there has been a rather large rash of double posting. Since the forums are growing extremely fast, and the moderators have limited time, those who ignore the edit button and repeatedly double/triple/quadruple post can have their second, third, fourth, etc, posts deleted without notice, and without having their contents pasted onto the first post as per usual.
To summarize, please do NOT double post for your sanity and for ours. No one likes to have their words deleted, and the mods do not like to have their time entirely consumed copying and pasting, so please keep our boards clean, and use the edit button.
Spam Posts
Spam posts are deleted at the discretion of the moderator. Spam posts consist of replies such as "I agree," "lol," "rofl," "that's exactly what I wanted to say," "what the guy above me said," etc.
Please read THX's original announcement for a comprehensive explanation.
Please help make Guild Wars Guru a pleasant, and relatively uncluttered place to visit. If you have any questions, feel free to direct them to me through PMs, or to any other moderator or admin.
Thank you.
