Why Is Monk Armour So Ugly?

This is completely personal tatse, but just want to see if anyone think so as well. I find the monk armor overall pretty poorly designed and not that pleasing to look at. The one i like the most was the beginner one... too bad there isn't a upgraded version of it.
hopefully better looking armor design for monk will come in the expansion or future patches.

I wish they had a monk outfit that looked less like armor. Something more like a long brown robe, kinda Friar Tuck-ish, or medieval english type.

I don't think of this as "retarded" but yeah, the monks look terrible. I don't like the tattoo look, neither do I with the necro. That is why I will never play a monk: because I can't stand looking at something that I don't like for entertainment from presearing to hells precipice. For PvP it is ok for me, as its not really a big problem. But I only have /mo and /n secondaries and not primaries.

back to my post, I would like to see more medival europe or oriental style to the monk... the current egyptain theme (wraps, fissure armor) doesn't really fit the monk.

I like the robe style like Jedi like or maybe bath robes for more "absorbtion"? Or even paper towel clothing. Like you would be wrapped in paper towels and you could buy emblems like Bounty or Brawny?

15k armor has the exact same stats as 1.5k armor. 15k armor is bought for the exact fact that it LOOKS COOLER.

Meh, I think theres a fair few really nice monk armours, all female ascetics, the 15k judges, the male wanders (might be 15k im thinking of) and the fissure armour is rather good looking.

In general monks are the "ugliest" class in the game, with some necros being tied. Monks can't even be red-heads. :`(

I like the initial armour because it shows off the Monk's kick-ass arms. I'd like less clunky, hunky, bulky armour for Monks, and a more streamlined look.

It would be cool if female monks wore somthin like Mother Tersa's garb.

Personally I think that not all armors should be able to have the same defense, or all the weapons have the same offense, sort of like diablo days. Until my account got deleted, i have fun, waking up in the morning and say, " ahh little newbie, im better than you." But in guild wars, its kind of hard to say that when Litterally everyone has access to being extremely good.

Monks aren't meant to give into sins of the flesh like vanity .

I like the monk clothes. Hair colour is lacking though.

Monk armour to me.. well it suits them to me, they look good in it.. its just the girl monks, when you run around naked what are they wearing like rope around them or something.

can't we have something like that ?
