soloed altheas ashes at lvl 13 w/henchies

i'm a w/mo hammer mastery, tried several times with pickup groups and failed due to dropouts and stupidity..

decided to do it solo w/henchies as i do lots of dmg and have mending and decent armor from yak's .


it was actually fairly easy up until the last part of the platform where i wussed out and sprinted for the pedestal and clicked it before i was mauled, seeing that "quest updated: altheas ashes" was awesome after doing it basically solo (most of the henchies were just meat shields, and dead w/o being worth rezzing)

I did it with 2 others at level 6 and 7. ^_^ That was....interesting.

Did you die at all, or did you make use of the convienient respawn point like we had to? haha..good memories.

I'll probably solo altheas with my new char when I get there. I think I can make it...

I did it at level 12 with a W/Mo, hammer mastery with henchies too. I found it was fairly easy to snipe the char with a bow to draw their attention, then pummel them into oblivion with my hammer. Surprisingly, my henchies lived throughout the entire mission.

Did it with my lvl 12 necro/monk with only Alesia, didn't even die. The way I did was raising an army of minion then attack the altar, when the minion died I retreated and raised another one, did this 3 time and I had the altar cleared.

always love the "solo" WITH henchies....

I do it solo now without henchies but I've done the mission already and now I do the area for charr hides and runes and what ever else they drop. Easy way to beat that group on the alter is to go around to the back side by the res point, if someone or yourself has spells that can reach, say elementalist or other that do not require personal contact, cast those on one of the groups. Usually one a couple run around madly trying to figure out how to get you while you take them out at your leisure from below. Has worked every time for me. You can do this to all 4 groups on the top leaving one group usually in the middle. Climb the alter, take them out and your all set. If your using henches, just trying to attack a group if you have Orion(sp) elementalist henchie, he'll cast firestorm which is a good way to kill Charr.

Personally I use Firestorm, Meteor Shower, Immulate and Lava if the group splits up, otherwise the first two spells kill them in one cast.

That mission is really easy since the ress thing is bascically right next to the platform its almost impossible not to get to the altar since u respawn right next to it over and over again.

mmm its not hard because of the spawn location- altho the healers can be a pain.

excuuuuse me.. i believe i stated that the henchies were dead after the first part anyway.. but i guess i'm just a n00b..
