Good news! (Wow feels like this whole thing keeps going up and down..)

I reworked the movie just slightly, to avoid copyright restrictions from ANet. I deleted their logo at the start (Even though I still feel like it should be there, I wan't to show people that "ANET made this game" kinda..), aswell as improved the performance of the video slightly.. very slighty :P

So in this newly released version, and final, you'll see no ANet logo.. Experience a whooping +1 frame rate (From 24 to 25) aswell as slightly better colors.

The movie still uses XviD and still has the same size as the original movie, basically

Oh and of course, I uploaded it to another server. Hopefully they won't take this one down, due to massive downloads

http://www.rpgfilms5.net/A_moment_of_peace_final.zip ~ 66mb - 4 mins

Hope you'll enjoy this version just as much as the ANet logo version. Oh and sorry for any inconvinence (spell?), I'll be more thoughtfull the next movie...

Excellent Movie Sublett.

I have created a torrent and posted it here.

Hopefully it will assist in easing the bandwidth burden for you, although will obviously be alot slower until people seed for us

I can see alot of downloads coming for you on this one, very nice work.

It's xvid - get your codex up to date.

for example http://www.xvid.org/
or k-lite codec pack http://home.hccnet.nl/h.edskes/finalbuilds.htm

Sublett: Very nice and thought through, looks like it took some planning and voice com. ? What character did you play and did you have to help the Mo/W later on or could he keep soloing?

I'm that Monk/Elementalist in the video. Sublett was a female Ranger.
I soloed some mobs, but when he didn't record, we just killed anything that tried to kill us.
And we didn't use voice communication to make it.

It was fun, and I hope sub and I can play around some more with movies.

Copying my link to the movie too.

It's on a Swedish private 10 MBit line, so don't expect rocket-speed from the USA.

I was amazed how good Sublett editing skills were. It is his first movie ever as I understand it.

Which should I watch first? This video or the GW Trailer Excel made here?

Just so I can pick the best to watch last to not ruin either. If it matters at all of course.

Awsome player made movie. Professionaly done! I acually prefer this one over a lot of the offical ones on guildwars.com. Keep up the good work!

Awsome view of PvE, most movies out there it doesnt show long enough clips of a fight, or either it blurry, or too cluttered you did very nicley mixing scenery and game play!

Round of Applaus!

PS: already watched it 4 times

Well first of all, I'd like to thank you for those wonderfull comments I didn't actually expect that kind of feedback...

Second, I'd like to give a big thank you to all those who aids in distributing this movie, aswell as anwsering technical questions which I had forgotten... So thank you Eleazar, Luggage, and of course efiloN.

And I'm sorry for those who expected to see some "awesome wicked PvP action movie".. The music wouldn't fit.

Oh oh.. not to mention all those saying nice comments about it (And hopefully mean it).. or have I thanked all of those already..? Hmm... eh... ah well..

THat was really cool! Though I thought sometimes the camera was jerky, then smooth, then jerky. Takes time though to make an academy award film. *cue music* woops... too long

Anyways, I also thought mean of you not to ever HELP YOUR FRIEND! Heh, he could have died!

i loved it! great choice of music.. it's definitely better than the gameplay videos on the official site.. in fact, they should put yours up there

i was wondering though.. is it easier to take a video like that of someone else rather than yourself? and what kind of system do you need to use fraps without much lag?

Thank you for those warming comments

I found it to be easier, as I could get any angles that I wanted, instead of having the camera focused on myself.. The system I'm running on is a P4 3.0 ghx - 1025 mb RAM - Geforce 6800.. No idea what kind of comp you'd need to get the same result.. I'm just glad it worked out for me without a problem

Sorry to hear you and your friend had to take your video offline. I only discovered that when I tried to point a link to your server and found it was broken in answer to someone's complaint that no one wants to be a monk. IMO, your video is the greatest Monk recruitment video I've ever seen

What was that one-handed push up...part of a new monk dance routine or a new emote? Even the swordplay was distinctive, with echoes of the martial arts dance routine.

Good news can be seen at the top of this thread Enjoy!

Oh I forgot to say, the final version was released to public demand, I can't belive the feedback i've been getting on this movie.. Thanx a lot

Oh oh.. another thing, in response to the above reply.. I've actually noticed it myself, I know atleast 3 people that has decided to play Monk on the release, due to my movie And I can only say that i'm pleased, as I'm a warrior myself and need healing
