Sorry if this is a noob question, but what is the point of Dragon's Gullet. There arent any towns or outposts there, and no quests or missions there. Is its only purpose a farming area?

Seems so, and maybe they will add a quest or something to it in the future.

there's a reason it's called an explorable area.

the same reason mineral springs exists, I don't believe there's any quests up there either.

Mineral Springs has skills to be capped. Dragon's Gullet (to my knowledge) doesn't.

I actually found Dragon's Gullet to be a fun area to explore at low level. There you get your first taste of what a hydra can really do to you(if you are the right lvl and not a 20 just exploring).

Strange as it may sound, for many people the charm of RPG's is not the quests, the finding of ever more powerful weapons, or the leveling up, but simply the exploring of new areas, with new and beautiful landscapes, and new and strange monsters....

Words of wisdom indeed.
