Question about how the game handles on low end machines
Malikith
I see that the recommended for this game is a 1 ghz, how would this game handle on a 1 ghz amd athlon with 384 megs of ram with a radeon 9200? Has anyone here have a similar system? Just tell me about what kinds of graphic options you run, and how it handles, thank you , or anyone that has knowledge of how it would run on that.

i have seen several with similar specs be happy
how do the login screen graphics look to you?
another 512mb ram would help (or even 256)

I don't have the game, i'm posting here for a friend, he wants to play with me in this and I don't have a system with that low of specs, and everytime he gets all excited to play a game with me, he finds out he cannot run it because he doesn't have a powerful enough system, as long as he will be happy with the performance, that will rock

I have heard many simular or even worst specs that say at first it seems as a slideshow once you login it smooths out, Until you logg off again. I consider it "Warming Up." But i can say that ram is a big part on how fast/smooth online MMORPG games run. I wouldnt worry so much about the graphics card at the moment. Focus on getting more ram if possible then move up. All a graphics card will do is make it even harder to run because the computer will be trying to keep up with the good picture.
He/she should have an ok time, expecially if he/she has highspeed internet, that would make a big difference too.
Good Luck,

I think you may be OK, I run 4X AA with all settings on max with AMD 2600+, ATI Radeon 9800 pro 128mb, and 1GB ram (Catch is, I have a horrible mobo) and run a stable framerate. If you run on low, you *may* have a somewhat playable framerate.

Hehe gotta coment you have exactly what i have as far as ram and g-card, yet i have a decent Motherboard

Dell P4 1.6 512 sd ram, Radeon 9550 256 ddr
The game runs beautifully. I didn't change any settings when I downloaded the beta (it was set fairly close to high).
I also played this a few beta events ago with the same computer only using 256 sd ram and a GF4 ti 4200 64 ddr .... it STILL looked beautiful ... the only problem was that it took forever to load new stages .... (I'd finally load a PvP arena but my team is already dead hehe)
Guildwars appears to be pretty forgiving ... Even with a computer at the rock bottom end of the spectrum it may take awhile to load initially but once your in your IN.
