Question on Switching Secondary

Just a quick question. Let's say I'm switching my secondary from Mo/W to Mo/Me and I have Axe Mastery at 9 and Tactics at 5... what happens to those attribute points when I switch? Do they just default into a Mesmer attribute?

I would suppose they are just taken away from their respecive attributes, and go back to your attribute pool, so you can now distribute them onto your new secondary profession. Also note that you get your full 24 refund points back once you chance second profession.

They former secondary attribute points are returned to an avalable distribution pool.

I don't think however that refund points are automatically replenished.
