Ranger Equipment

Could someone please tell me where I could find the best Ranger equipment in game. I need to know if I should save up, or is what I have seen the best you can buy. Thanks for your help. I am also a Necromancer, not sure if that would help or not. Most of my skills and attribute points are for rangers, but I have a little bit of Necro in me.

You probably want to check out the collector thread especially for armor pieces in the desert as well as the max damage ascalon bows there and in the Southern Shiverpeaks.

I prefer a short bow for close range and a flatbow for long range, but good luck finding them.

The best armor in the game can be bought from Droknars forge, shortly after Ascending in the desert, although better looking versions of those armor's can be bought from Marhans Grotto, Granite Citadel and The Fissure of Woe, those armors cost allot more and just look different, some people like them others dont.
As for the best weapons, I found my max damage Flatbow in the desert, which I have been using for a very long time now, I think anywhere from the desert on you can get good drops. If you want to buy good weapons/runes etc LA is probably the best place to go as people there seem to live on spamming every chat channel with trade, lots of trade.
