An Analysis of PvP Strategies

Hi everyone, just thought I'd post a thread suggesting strategy for PvP based on what I observed this BWE:

1. Try to avoid long, drawn out battles. This seemed to me to be absolutely essential. The best groups I played in in the Tombs were able to end matches quickly. This is harder in the six-person battles, which is what makes them hard. The longer the match lasts, the weaker the party seemed to get generally speaking.

2. Coordinate attacks for maximum destructive potential. This should be obvious, but it's worth mentioning all the same. If your group isn't well coordinated (having someone call attacks, focusing on healers, etc.) it's highly unlikely you will survive more than a few rounds. If you find the group you joined doesn't talk all that much, you might want to consider trying to find another. Granted, this can be difficult since it seems many people don't coordinate in groups, particularly in PvP. Having guild mates to group with can remedy this problem.

3. Try to have a balanced party. Many people forget this strategy, or find it difficult to follow. However, I found that the time spent trying to balance the party usually is outweighed by the fact that you can get much further along in the Tombs. Sure it may be fun and different to try a group composed of only 1 or 2 classes, but ultimately it's likely you will be killed.
Having five healers is nice, but if you have no one to tank or protect the healers, you will eventually meet defeat. The classes in the game are meant to complement each other, and many players failed to take advantage of this fact.

4. Don't become too overconfident. I found this to be very important as well. Many good groups fall prey to this because they succeed in getting very close to the Hall of Heroes, only to be defeated because their members became reckless in the heat of the moment. Victory is a strong reinforcer, but you shouldn't let your excitement over achieving it lead to your ruin.

Anyways, that's just my personal input on PvP, and I apologize if this, or something similar to this has been posted before. Feel free to give any comments or constructive criticisms. Thank you for your time.
