Is it true that once the full game starts, we don't get to keep anything, just our name? Do we get to keep items? guilds? levels?

Of course it's true.
Everyone gets to start again from the begining when the game starts for real. It's only fair.

lol, why would they let us keep anyhting? its Beta, hell, im jsut glad i get to keep my name, the rest i could care less about. i'm looking forward to doing it all again, should be even better second time around

Yes, playing beta for most games is just a prize in itself. Should be greatful you got the opertunity to play the game well before a lot of other people, and also build relationships with others. There are gonna be a lot of cluless people that you will have a huge advantage over! Of corse you could decide to the "The Nice Guy/Gal" and help the helpless! So all in all they are givin even more of an advantage to beta players by letting them keep there names and i believe guilds too.
