Theres these things in certain outposts/city's calld dye traders they just might have black dye? Cuz last time I knew black dye was sold at DYE TRADERS. But I could be wrong.

they sell at about 4.5k if i remember correctly, which is better than waiting ages to buy them for 600g cheaper.

i think you are all kinda overlooking the fact you can sell them for 3.7k at merchant and buy them for 4.7k, which is always changing.... sometimes it is cheaper but never 7k!!

Dye is as of right now selling for 9.3k @ dye trader........thanks to anet though dye trader is offering a WHOPPING AMAZING BLOW YOUR PANTS OFF 1g to buy it back.

I just tried 3 different dye traders now. Not like ones any better then the others anyways, dye trader is still a screwjob no matter what city you're in.

Ascalon: 1g
Lions Arch: 162g
Droknars: 162g

Which brings up another point, shouldn't they all be the same?

i noticed there is a big difference between early in the morning and late in the evening, price changes...... 5k to buy from a trader isnt so high anymore...... but also selling has changed.... average of 1.5k to sell dye at merchant
