House

Not sure if this is the right spot for this but ill throw it out there anyways. I think houses in the game would be a great add in. Something like the guildhalls only not. Put a craftsman at like droks. He requires like 2000 wood and like 100 steel and other stuff and can craft you a house. The you can talk to him and buy things for your house. Like a weapon cabinet that holds like 30 weapons. Or a coat rack for all your armor. A chest for all your gold. A closet for like other items. Anyways you get the point. But this is shared throughout your characters. Also make it a reasonable price since your going to need lots of materials to craft a house. Just a sugestion but please take it to heart.

What no hot tub to soothe your battle-weary muscles in? Can I get a 72" HD Plasma TV with Bose surround sound? How about an attachable garage, so if I need to go to Lions Arch, my ranger can just hop in his Honda Accord (dyed black)?

I disagree. Houses, at this point in the storyline, don't really fit with the "vagabond" heroes that we are supposed to be. Running from our homeland, running from the White Mantle, running to kill other nefarious bad guys. This whole chapter has a bit of a transient feel to it. You seem to have the steamer trunk with the Xunlai that travels with you, and that's it. Because, we're always on the run.

I'm on the run from the storyline LOL. I wanna walk my own path to glory, not story path.

i think instead of a house u pay for a room in your guild hall, u must hav a hall, ur leader pays alot of money, extention is built, all members get there own room BOOYAA

I agree. PvE really needs something to do in itself other than "play only to unlock stuff for PvP," and more role-playing in general, as there is almost none currently. Houses would be a good step towards that end.
Like Drago Solaris said, it would be nice if the houses are located out-of-the-way areas of your guild hall, so that your friends can visit too. The only thing I don't really agree with is increased storage space. I read somewhere that Arenanet specifically limited storage sizes so that people can't hoard items.

its a good idea but it could be a copyright issue because Star Wars Galaxies has already done this
Magus
I'm pretty sure other major MMORPG's have also used houses. I've helped develop some small MMO's that have also had private housing. I seriously doubt this is a copyright issue unless maybe Arenanet does it in the exact same way SWG did, with the exact same features, etc, (which I doubt) and even then it would probably be considered "lame" at worst.

Houses are too much like WoW. And you know how AreaNET and the Guildwars community are EXTREMELY allergic to anything about WoW. Its probably never going to happen.

Well, WoW in this sense would of copied Shadowbane in many ways. So, WoW is not the inovator. (I'm sure Shadowbane probably copied games like UO or such, too)

I think the rooms in the Guild Halls would be great. It would add yet another huge gold sink, because everyone would want their rooms to be the coolest, and it would add a new thing to PvE, you could do certain missions to unlock certian things that you could put in your room. I think the rooms should be accessable by all the guild members, but the items in them are only accessable to the owner so they couldn't steal from you. I think this is a great idea, original, and would definitly solve some problems people are having with the game; such as not being able to customize alot, inflation, and lack of PvE rewards.
