Capturing Earthquake and Aftershock

I am an Elementalist, and I just defeated Aurora's Glade mission. I am now in Bloodstone Fen. I want to become a Geomancer, so I am intent on finding and capturing Earthquake and Aftershock using the Signet of Capture. However, I have looked far and wide but I am unable to find where to capture these two elusive spells. Can someone direct me as to where to find them?

I am fairly sure that a certain creature called "Thornwrath" has Aftershock, but I do not know where to find him.

Another question: If I kill a boss, and I forget to use a Signet of Capture on him right away, do I lose my opportunity to do it forever?

And no you don't lose your opportunity forever. You'll probably have to warp out and warp back in and kill the boss again though.

Can someone tell me where I can find...

Thornwrath - He's in Bloodstone Fen somewhere. He has Aftershock, which I need.

Nazeem the Damned - He's in the Gates of Kryta. He has Earthquake.

Also, if someone could tell me how to get Obsidian Flame before Droknar's Forge (if possible), that would be nice.

I don't want to run around without a direction, so if someone could clue me in as to where these bosses are, or if there is another boss which has these same spells, I would be very grateful .

More specifically, I am trying to finish this Geomancer build:
  • Earth Attunement
  • Eruption
  • Ward Against Melee
  • Armor of Earth
  • Aura of Restoration
These I need:
  • Aftershock
  • Eruption
  • Obsidian Flame

If I can't get Obsidian Flame, what would be a good replacement for it?

I am also trying to find the thorn boss that has Aftershock. I have looked all over Bloodstone Fen and Ettin's Back and has yet to come upon this boss.

These skills are not elite, so the list wouldn't really help.

I found earthquake and aftershock outside of ventaris refuge! Go east, pass the collector northeast and immediately after him east again. Behind a bridge of wood was the boss!

I have found him!

Thornwrath is in the Bloodstone Fen mission, a little ways in. He's with a few other Thorn Stalkers. Bring two Signets of Capture when you go to kill him, because he has both Earthquake and Aftershock. Once you cap them, you can just teleport back to Bloodstone Fen and you're done!

I got both from Thornwrath as well.

Anyways, I don't believe you lose the opportunity to capture if you don't do it right away. If you haven't noticed, a bosses body will lay on the map...forever I think, but you can walk quite a ways away and fight other things and come back, and that boss monsters body will still be there.

I don't think anyone gives them as a reward, but you can buy Earthquake from Bartoch at Droknar's Forge, and Aftershock from Harnil in Marhan's Grotto. However, this is much later in the game, and capturing it from Thornwrath is the best way to go (IMO).

I don't think the bodies lay on the map forever...they disappear after you leave the place. But you can fight the boss as many times as you want, if you coincide with their random spawning.
