major - +40 health 2 plat
superior - +50 health 37 plat
I don't get it - who would pay an extra 35 platinum for 10 health? i know most people don't like major runes, but theres no penalty with it anyway...+25 health weapon upgrades go for around 2 plat, why not just buy one of those and stick it up a staff of bow or something instead. Am I the only one who wouldn't pay 35 platinum for an extra 10 health, or am i missing something? It seems to me that these are just a status symbol

It offsets even more health than it does when using any other Superior Rune. And as I read here before...perfection costs a lot to a lot of people. And remember, those Superior Vigor Runes used to cost 98plat.

It's the same reason for using any superior rune... that small boost... that small boost will help decide, and be the final deciding factor between two really good guilds in a "war"...
It's the same reason people vote... will your one vote make much of a difference if the other side is greatly more popular? The answer is no. But when the time comes, and it's a difference between one vote, you'll regret that you didnt go do it.
(Not to mention, some of those lifeless people have nothing else to spend their hard earned gold -- even if you're not lifeless... it's still hard earned)

I salvaged mine, so yes the +50 is worth it (its also lasted 3 salvaged pieces of armour). Is it worth 35P? What else are you going to spend money on? Also I'm pretty sure they stack with health increasing weapons and offhand items.

if i salvaged it i'd probably sell it, but you're right, what else is there to buy? the 15k armor, which is even more of a waste of money

Last time I checked, which wasn't too long ago, major vigors were still giving +41 hp. So, it's 35 plat for 9 more hp. But, it makes more sense to pay 35 plat for 9 more hp than it does to pay 35 plat more for a sword based on the way it looks.

you're right, there really is nothing...as an elementalist, in a way i find its good that the best wands and artifact are both pretty much the collectors items - but in a way that's bad, because it'd be nice if there was some variation

yesterday, i saw the superior vigor go for 52 plat at the trader. it probably went back down.

Where are u guys finding the drops with them on? I hear Ettins and Giants give best results for runes... is that the case? I haven't seen Ettins since North Kryta and the latest giants I recall is those in the Shiverpeaks. Are those the places to go?
