If I had upgraded a bow with a Grip for +1 Bow Mastery, would it be possible to salvage the bow and have a chance at recovering the upgraded part? Like if I used an expert salvage kit?
As long as the item you upgraded wasnt a quest or collector result, it should be fine, but you have a low chance of getting the upgrade you want back out of the item.

Always use the expert salvage kit. I have been very lucky with reclaiming upgrades, but that's all it is, is luck.
If you had two upgrades on your weapon, you also can't choose which feature you want (ie bow grip vs. bow string), if the salvage is successful at all.
