Make PvE Tougher!
BigTru
Seriously, this game has gone soft since Beta. The most I've ever had to try a mission was mabey 3 or 4 times (I've used PUGs for every mission in the game).
PvE is a JOKE! Don't even get me started on the last mission. I guess UW and FoW is tough the "if your a moron, you will die" kinda way.
C'mon, I really don't think there is much to say. This game is waaay too EASY!

I would like to see it made a little easier for you average casual gamer and in the forties.I have 3 in my guild that are this would mostly be in Crystal Dersert as it is tough enough already as well as the Southern Shiverpeaks..It take hours most of the time to get anywhere unless you look at the map on this site that has been uncovered.I would consider that all games of all types are meant to be fun to play not to sit there for hours and hours grinding away.I still trying to get through ascention.
BigTru
I don't see how making it tougher would = "grinding".
As they have clearly stated, this game is a "skill" based game. It doesn't take hardcore gaming or grinding to be skilled - either you have it or you don't.

BigTru: Try playing as NOT a monk. Or in less than max-size teams. If that still isn't hard enough, solo the game. If you can solo this game without henches, then I promise to bow to your cr4zY m4d 5ki11z.
Otherwise: yeah, the PvE is real easy with a full team of lvl 20 guildies, and/or playing a twinked character.

Make PVE harder? Er... no, let's not. Yes, the game may be easy and stale for those who have played every map and/or mission a half-dozen times, but it is neither easy nor stale for those of us who are struggling through our first run. There are places, in fact, where it is beyond frustrating.
I have no alpha apendage to wag, so I shall cheerfully confess my own battle-tude ineptness on an unprecedented scale, and humbly request that the difficulty level remain consistantly doable for the casual gamer who indulges in GW for fun, has few enough recreational hours to devote to his/her hobby and does not need to spend 52 attempts on a single mission simply to appease those who have been playing non-stop for the past year.
That's my position, and I'm sticking to it!

Perhaps uber areas for those who want the difficulty which isn't connected to the plot?

Tactical Dillusions .I like your idea give them a separate area to go and play in that has nothing to do with the storyline.

Well, I think it is easy, but for new gamers it is hard. They have to get used to the new arrangment of 8 skills, and its different than a lot of other games. I think they should just add more harder quests or areas after the game ends. Like more UW and things. But not let it be accessable by people who haven't finnished the game. I'm getting tired of lvl 12s coming into the ToA and complaining about not being able to find parties.

Anyway...if you can't dedicate your time to become a better player then you don't need to be playing this game. Casual player or not, even a person who doesn't play often should learn how to adapt and get better. This game's quality shouldn't suffer because a few people like yourself having the inability to adapt. If you don't advance your tactics as a player then you don't need to be playing this game period.

Tactical-Dillusions:
Agreed...
Personally I find it very unfair to limit the level of the players but not the monsters. I was all for the level cap…until I had my rear handed to me by a level 28 monster. If they are going to insist on a level cap it should be across the board.

Frankly, your attitude is insulting. A casual player has just as much right to enjoy a video game as you do. It is, after all just a game. The idea is to have FUN. I have made it to the C. Desert and now I am no longer having any fun because the game is too hard for me. There should be a way for Arenanet to set up different servers with different difficulty levels - or - some other solution which I am sure has probably been mentioned on this board...in order to make EVERYONE happy.
Perhaps offer a higher difficulty mode for those who have already run through the game once in casual mode.

You may not like my attitude, but people on our cousin forum, Gamefaqs.com, are saying the same thing about PvE. The same who argue, insulted me and defend the PvE are saying the same thing I said since day 1. The monsters are boring, repetitive and tedious due to their large numbers, their inferior A.I, their bad item drops and item drop rate. They've also spoken up in the chatrooms.
These problems with A.I, imbalance issues, obtaining skills/spells, new classes and economy/item drop are becoming epidemic now and we can't ignore them anymore no how much YOU or any of the FEW people here and there want that.
