I think I'm the only one with this question, cause I don't see it anywhere on the net. The Necrotic armor says "reduces protection from holy damage". Does this mean that YOU are hurt more when hit with holy damage, or that the ENEMY is hurt more from holy damage. If you are hindered, what is the point of the armor???
Thanks in advance for the reply.

It is reducing your actual armor against holy dmg. That means you suffer more dmg from holy.
The difference if you notice it, is in the defence. Normal Casters armor has only a max of 60 for the best armor. But for necrotic, it reduces the protection against holy dmg, but your physical protection is 70 compared to the normal max 60.

According to what I've read and been told, in PvE there are very few enemies that actually cast holy damage on you. Though I've yet to see a list of what types of damage each creature group does, I've noticed that Grawl tend to use holy damage, and it would be logical to assume that monks and clerics would as well.
In PvP, in general the only one you have to worry about is the Smiting Prayers Monk and the warriors that she/he buffs with holy damage. Healing and Protection monks are likely gonna be too busy to really go after you directly. And then there are a lot of necro spells which can discourage holy damge dealers from getting too close.
I use Necrotic and like it, but then I tend to hang in the back and not aggro first very much.
