I've gone through the Frozen Forest several times and I have never seen Mursaat there before, until today that is.
I'm roaming around with henchmen trying to capture some skills. Suprise suprise the bosses I want never spawn. Anyways, on my second run through the region I am fighting some Tengu when all of a sudden a Mursaat patrol (2 Jade Armors and 1 Jade Bow) comes up and vaporizes my henchmen. I saw the three dots coming but the battle I was in was easy so I could handle three more. But after I saw they were Mursaat it was too late. Party wipe.
Isn't this place hard enough with the stone summit mobs boasting two or even three Dolyak masters? (not to mention mobs with groups of 12+) I already have to do it a several times before I even get the boss spawn I want. But now with the Mursaat roaming around randomly I either have to spam for an hour looking for some already infused skill cappers, go through the place with a -60% Death Penalty, or give up my skill capturing.
At one location I saw 12 Mursaat. It would be nice if they were removed...

Certain areas in the game if you play them in 1 session will alter depending on the missions you have completed.
For instance if you do North Wall but not Fort Ranik then venture outside Ascalon, it will be overun with Charr and not devourers and golems, the same applies for Irons Mines and Thunderhead Keep afaik with random mursaat.
That might have happened possibly.

Actually, no.
Frozen Forest is linked to Ice Floe and I suspect the mursaat are there to prevent players from reaching Thunderhead Keep uninfused, they are always there near the Ice Floe exist.
Problem is Ice Floe is full of mursaat and jade armors making it almost impossible to reach Grotto unless infused but its not as hard to reach Thunderhead with is strange since it effective prevents the player from reaching 15k armor sets but not the mission.

actually, Frozen Forest and Ice Floe are NOT connected. The only way to get to Grotto and Thunderhead is by completing the Iron Mines mission, which gives you infusion anyways.
