ok, if this (my first new topic) is in the wrong place, or wrong to post, principa, feel free to shift/whip or whaterver me
i just looged on a min ago. it might be in the last update or not, but the traders that sell runes/materials and dye are making you get a Quote for Price befor you can buy, and they are listing the last sold price.
is this what everyone is talking about busted traders and having only so many of things?
it says traders will only buy from players, i guess its meaning its a persistant database type like i was used to on rr nordock for crafted items. if i didnt sell a crafted item to him, he cant sell my friend it later on, since he can only sell however much is sold to him in first place, neh?
not sure what else, but, the wndsday update was after 10pm for me in uk, and maybe this was a late thrus or early fri update
friday may have had an update too

Yeah that's how I got it from the website but it does seem weird. It means that you mostly do without npc traders, since you're probably better off haggling with players, and that the prices increase or decrease with availability, which might go towards more moneyfarming.
But it's a cool thing, none the less. Feels "right", although I will need to see how it actually works. Haven't bought anything but dye and armor from merchants in a looong while

I think that came along with the actual wednesday update if I remember correctly, it was like that for me early yesterday I'd have to say. Just a simple interface change for traders, as was listed in the update list I think.

Did you have to download anything as you booted up GW? I cant play for another 3 hours so I cant check. Maybe they reset the economy or something, which could not even require a update.
Im pretty sure they where making me get a quote price all day today as well, so I dont think that part is new.

The only thing we changed with the traders is the interface. One of the improvements is that the trader now better informs players about where their stock comes from and how they set their prices: nothing about that process itself was changed. The traders have always been supplied exclusively by players.

Alex, any hints on what goodies we can expect in future PvE updates? I saw a mention of it in an interview and just wondered what we can expect.
TIA.
