I've tryed a lot of combinations and still havent found out
the combination of dyes to make a chaos axe go black.
( assuming its possible ).

Heres a list though of the basic dye results

Blue............Red / Pink Axe
Green..........Purple Axe
Orange........Green Axe
Yellow.........No Change
Red............Green Axe
Purple.........Orange Axe
Silver..........White faint tinge of purple/pink
Black...........White (with white glow)

most results I had from mixing dyes so far were
disturbing radioactive greens and bright reds and pinks

So please, If anyone knows the mix for a black chaos axe, let me know.

I've never used a Chaos Axe, but I'm wondering what colour are they when you use a Dye Remover on them?

Dye Remover did nothing for me, stayed the same color.

I've heard someone saw one too, but I've tried all the Dyes myself, and also some Dye mixes, but afte spending about 10K on this without any Black Chaos Axe I just stopped trying..

If anyone knows how to make a Black Chaos Axe, please tell me !

If there was white dye you could make a black chaos axe, but i still think that hot pink is the greatest chaos axe color.

there was a link on here somewhere with a dye chart for chaos axes and necro scar patterns not sure where it is maybe try a search and see if u can find it

i found it...its in the community works thread

I've check the chart, and where it says silver makes it black,
well no, it does not make it anywhere near black, and after spending,
near 15K on all kinds of colors to mix them ( including black dye .
I think there is no actual ways to make it black....
Now my axe is a wierd Lime Green, differant green then I've
seen normaly and its very bright... ( must be the black I added to it ).

Ok guys stop wasting dyes. SOmething i have noticed from using them a lot is that there is no effect of the color of the dye on it. You could start with a fresh one,give it Green dye and it would go green. You could have given it black dye,it would still go green. There is like 5 possible colors for it,and everytime you add a new color,it cycles through the possible colors.
Dont believe me? try it out.

True True.... That weird ultra bright lime color that i got
is very different then the normal green that you see on
chaos axe....
It is possible that it only cycles trough 5 colors.... but if thats
the case then there is tons of variation of those same colors

...people dont know how to make white dye.
People just know the right combinations of dye required to make a suit of armour appear white...
Silver dye on 1.5K Droks Druids armour, for example...

Um, SamGad, two things:

1) It's impossible to make a true "white" with the GW engine. It's done through Hugh/Saturation if I remember correctly.

2) The nearest "white" dye I've seen is 3 Silvers mixed into a Yellow.

But, even the white dye mixture probably won't turn a Chaos Axe black. They glow from the inside, so they'll always be bright when all is said and done. From what I can remember off of the dye chart topic Silver makes it "black", but only the glow around the edge and only a little bit.

That picture is sooo sooo not real

... Guys I've spent like 80K trying to get a chaos axe look black or near to black and asked many friends and experimented many toooo many combinations on that axe. SO i gave up! If someone does manage it i would be gratefull to know the combination...

I believe this is one reason they are called "Choas Axes"... However I have NEVER seen a choas axe that is even remotely black, and I doubt it's possible to come even close.

You can get a white Chaos by dying it with black, but you can not get a black chaos at all. Sorry.

Silver turns it a goldy yellow colour.

Well i believe with chaos axes the rule is it will turn the exact opposite of the dye u use on it ( i dont know what the opposite of green is or red, but thats what i heard.)But i also believe Serpreme is right, there are only so many colors chaoss can turn into.maybe black isnt an option.

About the picture , i think paint would make it seem more realistic then that .
