From what I gather you craft it in Fissure of Woe. The crafter is linked to one of the missions there. In order to craft this armour you need a huge number of obsidian shards (dropped in fissure) and globs of ectoplasm (dropped in Underworld) as well as lot of materials and 15 plat for each piece. I cannot recall the exact number of shards and globs, however for the entire set I think its over a 100 of each. You can buy globs and shards I think. However the current cost of globs is between 11 and 17 plat at the mo for one. So good luck in buying them!
ZD_kusanagi
yes.. you are mostly correct. In the fissure of woe, entrance in the emple of ages, you have to do 3 different quests to finally unlock the fissure armor.
for hands, feet and helmet, 5 obsidian shards and for legs, 10, for chest, 15. i dont remember off the top of my head the amount of glods but it is around double the number of shards. he is correct in saying that the globs are found in underworld, and shards found in fissure. or you can buy them off the material traders in towns. adding the price of the material to th 15k for each piece, it comes to around 1mil for a full set. good luck in making it!

Sadly, i am on active duty in the army for a couple weeks so i havent been playing, but has the price for ectoplasm and shards seriously went from 4k(what it was before i left) to 15k(or w/e the price was in the above post)?
kiniko
holy..... had u seem anyone had a set before?
teny10
What's so good about fissure armor anyways?
Borak Bloodbane
nothing, it just looks really cool
Lord Garofoli
yeah and what class is it for?
Borak Bloodbane
you can buy diff kinds of armor at fissure, although one (or maybe all i cant remember) of the armors is unique looking. there are diff armors for diff classes just like everywhere else in the game.
Borak Bloodbane
the armor itself isnt called Fissure armor, thats just the place it is from, if that is what you were getting at

Master Oria
K. theres a few locations you can find the 15K armor
( fissure armor ). Hope this helps
First Location:
The Fissure in the temple of ages. down deep in it, you will
have to take the first quest from the ghost and complete it.
then you need to skip the second quest. Go further on the
area, fight the undeads and find the "weaponsmith", which he
will give you the quest that will get you to the forge. once
you get to the forge, you will be given a quest to defend it.
once that is done you will need to do an other quest to go
kill some spiders in a cave and to come back to the forge.
Then finaly you can get your armor craft.
there will be a few choices of armor for each profession.
Second Locations:
this is an easy one..... the Granite Citadel town, north of
copperhammer. just find a halfly good group and hack away
at all the summit dwarves on your way there
Also the town of Marhan's Grotto. This one involves
going far east of droknar's forge and hacking frost imps to bits.
Now the real cost:
there is two actual differant cost. its kind of funny, if you go
to the Citadel, you will notice that the armor only cost 15K
+150 iron +20 scales a piece for a dragon armor ( warrior armor )
But if you go to the Fissure for the exact same armor with the
same design and looks. It will cost you a total of over 2,000,000 gold.
15K a piece to start. then the basic materials as usual 150 iron
and 20 scales for the upper body part. THEN IT GETS UGLY
45 ectoplasm at 12K each and 45 obsidian shards at 3.5K each.
JUST FOR ONE PIECE.
i use a calculator when i got down there and i calculated the
prices total for the materials and it was over millions.
So if you went to save on the cost of materials and just pay
the simple fee of 15K a piece. then its not so bad to run up
in the mountains for a bit.

15k you get from Granite Citadel and Marhan's Grotto.
Fissure armour you get from the Fissure. Hence the name.
Fissure armour requires [mainline common materials,] Shards and Ectos (unless you're a a monk or necro, in which case you only require ectos). 15k armour only requires the mainline rare materials, or common materials.

stats. THEY ARE NO DIFFERANT, just diferent locations
which dosent make the armor diferent.
You can buy the 15K armor in Citadel and say
that its Fissure armor and no one will
be able to tell the diference.

Master Oria... sorry you got no clue at all. Head over to the screenshot section and have a look at those fissure armors. Then come back and try to tell us again the fissure armor looks the same as the ones in Marhans Grotto and Granite Citadel. IF you do so, you're a moron or blind.
The 15k Armor is just a new texture for the allready existing armor. The fissure Armor is a whole new model with its own textures and it costs about 100 times more then the lousy 15k armor from Grotto or Citadel. Especially with inflation going moo as it does right now.

K I will admit that some armors look differant. ( I just notice
the diffence between the Fissure Gladiator Armor and the
15K gladiator armor....) and also to be honest I've never played
a monk or cared much about what monk armor looks like so half
those screenshots mean nothing to me.
The major thing is the Dragon armor. ( IT DOES LOOKS THE SAME )
maybe you've never paid much attention to it, but do so.
I've had the dragon armor for a long time now and I've never seen
a differant one. ( yes I've look at screen shots on various sites
and all the screenshots of the Fissure dragon armor looked like
mine.) All the screen shots of the warrior fissure armor on this site
are the gladiator one only.
P.S. dont call someone a moron just because you have a different
opinion or dont like their post ( we all do mistakes )

I just said if you still insist on those looking the same you're a moron. Not you're a moron in general...

Fissure armor all looks the same for one profession. Is that too complicated for you? Here, I will simplify it: It doesn't matter if you get dragon/gladiator/platemail set from fissure, they all have the same model.
