Because currently you can only have 2 weapon for your PvP character, unless you get some via PvE.
This is a petition to have more weapons on PvP characters
Why aren't PvP Warriors allowed to spec 11/10/10 Sword/Axe/Hammer?

Executed in rather interesting fashion. While I don't think this is on ANet's top priority list, I can't see at as a harmful element. Right now the only people that could do this are PvE warriors.
However, if you've found the weaponry PvE, you can put it in storage and let your warrior take it.

Why would you possibly take 11/10/10 Sword/Axe/Hammer? This is a really low priority, but it couldn't hurt.

Honestly, they're doing you a favor by not allowing you 11/11/10 weapon attributes. If we had 3 weapon slots, we'd be seeing wa/mos doing what you just suggested.

I mean, You can be 11 Storage/11 Prot/ 10 Smite, right? O.x
The inability to do this is a hamper on the build expirimentation process.

That said, I have no problem with allowing anyone to spec their characters in that way. As long as they don't try to group up with me.
However, the OP has a good idea in letting PvP characters take more than two weapons. I would like to bring a different weapon for different situations. Sundering mod in some situations, Zealous in other situations, Cruel in other situations. You get the idea? Hammer/Sword/Axe is completely unnecessary. Having different item mods easily accessible during a battle is.

still though.. you should be able to take more weapons in...
as a ranger.. I'd like to take a short, medium, and long bow into a game. as it is though.. im fairly happy with just a medium and a short.
would just be a nice added bonus.

The previous poster was talking about having a PvP warrior, and being able to respec into all three weapon lines. For example let's say the warrior is like mine, a W/Me with 13 swordsmanship, 11 domination, 9 tactics. Tommorrow I want to try a W/Me with 13 Axe Mastery, 11 domination, 9 tactics. Then the next day I want to try a W/Me with 13 Hammer Mastery, 11 Domination, 9 Tactics. If he's PvP I can't becuase theres only two weapon slots.
That said.... It's pretty easy just to delete the character and rebuild it using the same name with different weapons. I've done the same thing with my PvP mesmer like 3 or 4 times now.
What we need instead, IMO, is a way to access the PvP character equipment
screen after character creation.... unless there already is and I'm an idiot.

yes they could do a lot to streamline the pvp character creation/modification process. like be able to change the secondary profession with one click, get rid of refund points, let you change weapons at will, etc. oh yeah and UAS, UAR.

I dont understand the 2 slot minimum on pvp creation.
