Ignore definitely needs to filter ignored people out of public chat. There's a major hit to the enjoyability factor of hanging out in town and chatting when you have people throwing hissy fits with each other and spamming garbage all over the place. And I guess along with this should come an increase to the max number of people on your ignore list. Just my opinion, I know some folks out there agree with me. Thoughts?

I had thought that's what ignore was for, and tried it, only to find I could still see them talking in Local. Sure, I could have turned off Local, but why should I leave when someone else is saying something I don't wanna hear?

Ignore should be exactly that... COMPLETE ignore.

Successful Ignore functions should make it as if the person in question effectively doesn't exist from your point of view. GW's currently doesn't do that.

Curiousity: I usually only temporary ignore people (usually once you ignore them for an hour, they never try again), so I've never noticed: Does the ignore function automatically block alts too (kinda like the friends list automatically shows them?) If it does, cookies for ArenaNET for finally doing that, that's been needed in other games too. :x
