salvage items

I have done some google search but could not find what i wanted.
In guild wars i do not know what to do with plant fibres, cloth ,etc. I know that i must use them for crafting. But for crafting what?? It cannot be for armour because when i crafted an armour the fibres were not used. Is there any sited which show what craft materials are used for...
When i wanted to trade the material i dragged it into the box but could not get in there. Why??

Different professions need different materials for crafting. For example, my Monk primarily uses Cloth or Parchment to craft, although I also use other things like Feathers.

My advice is to only salvage items that will give you crafting materials that you can use on your character. Save the remaining materials in your storage, for whenever you start a second character.

I advise in the other direction. Materials are a great way for cash. But learn 1) what materials you need (as clam said, cloth and wood for monk) and learn what materials make you cash (iron and steel for example)

Also want ot know: WHy is there a storage deposit for gold coins. Do you have any advantage when using this storage for gold coins?

As far as I know, there is no limit to how much gold the storage will hold.

Yes, the max is 1,000plat, and 100plat on a character.

On your inventory, what you can carry around with you, it's 100k. In your storage however, I don't think there is a limit.

No. you can't put more than a million gold in storage because I've tried. It won't let you. Anyone who says otherwise is just guessing.
