NPC's in various locations (like the random merchants and collectors) who you pay a small fee to and can change your skills.

You are allowed to implement a skill when you buy it from NPC's such as Captain Greywind so it isn't that unreasonable is it?

I was out in mineral springs on a capture mission with henchies and the plan wasn't working too well. The whole team died a million times on some bridge-blocking avicara and the henchies would have had maximum DP like myself.

Would have been good to change skills rather than have to repeat the whole journey from scratch to try a new approach.

How many times do parties have a member who says "Damn, i forgot my res" or "Who left the town? I wasn't ready!"

Thoughts please....

Hmmm.. tough to answer since I can see this from both sides...

Most areas in this game are rather "predictable"... you have a pretty good idea of what MAY be out there and what skills you may need to bring.

On the other hand... there are some very long mission and explorable areas where this sort of thing could be useful... I can certainly see where having a place to pick up a Capture signet would be handy, but then we go back the other direction which says "now I'll have to come back another time".

I think to implement something like this and make it fair it would have to be more than a "small fee". This kind of skill swapping in the middle of an area really shouldn't be given or taken lightly... it really does affect the whole outcome.
