Which build should I choose?

Well there are two builds which I have constantly been debating with myself on which to go on with.

Here's the first one:

Ranger/Elementalist:

Expertise - 7 (+3 Rune)
Marksmanship - 10 (+1Rune) (+1Mask)
Wilderness Survival - 9 (+1Rune)
Fire Magic - 10

Total - 198, Unused - 2

1. Penetrating Attack
2. Poison Arrow (E)
3. Distracting Shot
4. Mark of Rodgort
5. Glyph of Lesser Energy
6. Troll Unguent
7. Conjure Flame
8. Favourable Winds

1 Cast Favourable Winds.
2 Cast Conjure Flame
3 Cast Glyph of Lesser Energy
4 Cast Mark of Rodgort
5 Use Poison Arrow
6 Semi-frequently use Penetrating Attack
7 Use Distracting Shot when target uses self-heal
8 Repeat from 3
9 Heal with Troll Unguent

Notes:

*** This build requires a Fiery Bowstring

Target will be burning and poisoned for approx. 20 seconds (11 health degen.)
As this happens, you have Favourable Winds making you attack faster, AND with Conjure Flame adding damage.

The degen. alone sohuld give about 200 damage, and with attacks, should be approximately bring it up to 300 or 350 dmg in 20 seconds. A few finishing attacks should kill the target. (And you can deny a self heal)

OR the second one:

Ranger/Monk:

Expertise - 8 (+2Rune)
Marksmanship - 9 (+1Mask) (+1Rune)
Wilderness Survival - 9 (+1Rune)
Smiting Prayers - 10

1. Power Shot
2. Poison Arrow (E)
3. Distracting Shot
4. Judges Insight
5. Scourge Healing
6. Storm Chaser
7. Troll Unguent
8. Favourable Winds

1 Cast Favourable Winds
2 Cast Judges Insight
3 Use Poison Arrow
4 Cast Scourge Healing at approx. 60% health
5 Use Distracting Shot for self-heals
6 Semi-frequently use Power Shot
7 Recast Judges Insight when it runs out
8 Use Storm Chaser and Troll Unguent to survive

Notes:

This is the other build, which centers itself around Judges Insight. You can have your target poisoned and constantly have fast moving arrows (Fav. Winds) that ignore the targets armor. Like the other build, it also uses Distracting Shot to deny self heals. Scourge Healing will also stop the target from using a self heal.

So, which build is it: The Pyro-ranger or the Smiting Ranger...

Any Suggestions?

Thanks in advance

just a note on your first build, you wouldnt need to use conjure flame to benefit from MoR (unless you're just trying for more damage, in that case, kindle arrow would give you more damage i believe).
favorable wind doesnt make you attack faster, just makes your arrows fly faster. perhaps you were thinking tiger's fury.

as for your judge's insight ranger, it doesnt ignore armor persay, it bypasses elemental bonuses and a warrior's damage redction (not too sure about that though). but the 20% penetration is always good

Instead of Fav winds what about Tigers Fury or Kindle Arrows with either build? You guys think this would be better? and which sounds better overall for pvp? The Fire would do more damage but more ppl would have some resist to fire.

I wouldn't take Storm Chaser or Troll Unguent. You won't be attacked much as a Ranger and it would be more efficient to take Rebirth, Res Signet, or something else.

He said you needed a fiery bowstring, which I think (80% sure) counts as fire damage and sets off MoR. It seems like he's trying to mix the degen of poison with fire, or he just can't find a better elite than poison arrow.
