Killing glint as an elementalist with ALL henchmen?

I'm wondering here if anybody has managed to pull this off with just henchmen. I have read all the posts about mesmer groups and ranger interrupts, tec. I am an el/me myself and have gotten to Glint a number of times but failed in the end. Again, I have yet to luck out with a strong pickup group, so I'm trying with henchmen. The problem is that as the only pc there, I am trying to handle too many tasks at once (blinding to keep my henchies alive longer, interrupting that crystal thing, doing dmg), that I don't have enough energy to keep it all up with the energy sapping effect going on.

Is this an effect of Glint's realm, or a spell that I haven't noticed being cast?

What are the effects of crystal hibernation exactly? I know you're supposed to interrupt it at all costs, but what does it do? I read something about elemental damage healing her after it has been cast successfully. Is that it?

Has anyone done this one with henchmen, and if so, do you have any pointers on who to bring, what skills to focus on using (currently have blinding flash, cry of frustration, ether feast, lightning javelin, and a number of air-based nukes), nd how to make the henchies last longer than Glint? Oh, and how to make energy last long enough to handle so many tasks.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

pfft thats nothing, ive killed glint with no armor on, and just using 7-10 fire wand attacks

I guess that's why you're the Great Al...but for those players who aren't as great as you, I'd like to hear if anyone can defeat Glint with henchmen only. And if so, as stated above, pointers would be nice. Thanks.

Well, I assume you mean the exhaustion effect for the energy sapping? That's a spell she casts right at the start or the battle, anyone who uses a skill suffers from exhaustion because of it. Since you'll be casting a lot of spells you really need to be able to interrupt this too. You could try bringing Power Leak or Power Spike as a second interruption option, so you can take care of both spells.

For Crystal Hibernation I think it adds any elemental damage she would take to her health instead of subtracting it.

To protect the henchies you could try picking up the egg again. She generally goes straight for whoever's carrying it. This is quite likely to get you killed , however, so it's probably not the best way to deal with the problem.

hmmm perhaps strategic usage of malestrom might disrupt her spells, except you might need the glyph that speeds spell casting. the drawback of this is you will take twice the amount fo exhaustion for using this skill.

Glint isnt has hard as people make out, my necro lvl 19 at the time of glint, got her to 1/4 hp with henchman. All i did was use rotting flesh and deathy swarm (lol)... We lost because protector had heart attack or summet, she just died in 1... Ill try with my ele and see if its possible.

all you need is 1 tank to get the egg, 1 dedicated healer to stay with the tank, 1 interrupted to stop glint's crystal hiberation and everyone else can hack on glint.

did it with 4 guildies and 1 hench the other night.

later on in this thread theres an exact explanation of how to do it with prot prayers. combine this with hench strategy and its absolutely doable but TAKE ONLY ONE WARRIOR HENCH. else alesia will get ripped. (you dont want that )

btw, the key to let stephan or thom tank is ctrl shift attack.i would just try to let stephan survive. (take the egg and drop it immediately. then call glint) normally you can get him right in her face so she just attacks him. then the rest of the party can concentrate on their job. if anybody gets near, things can get messy pretty quickly. so the necro hench is a bit of a gamble: gives u energy, but also does that with stephan.
and if claude gets killed during that, alesia might try to ress. and what happens if alesia gets killed, while she tries to rezz, you already know, i guess.
and since the henchies wont (and shouldnt) stop attacking you need to counter crystal hibernation. crystal hybernation is basically lets say... a mark of protection. but its not a spell, its a skill.

since i think the amount you (read: alesia) need to heal is to far out, i would get monk sec and go for protection enchants. problem is, you dont get blessed signet, so you need another way to get energy up.
but protection is the only thing i know about anyway.

back then, i didnt do any damage (nearly), just kept protects and used distract on the hibernation. rest of the time i was just breathing hard and praying.
