What happened to Guildwarsguru?

I almost forgot... Why was Guildwarsguru down the last two days? I, and I know several others, couldn't connect here.

I experienced the same problems too, probably large user base

I had trouble too but, after clearing out my browser cache file, it zipped right up again. Might try that. Otherwise and given the HUGE number of people on at any given time, it's no surprise that connectivity is a problem sometimes. Don't most hosts have some kind of magic number of connections allowed?

your only actually connected to the server while your loading something. and yes all servers have a total amount of users that can be connected at the same time, but 99% of the time you will recieve one of those "Maximum Connections reached, please try again later" messages, not a server cannot be found. simply because although you cant actually connect to said server, the server is still there and is still reachable.
I also was not able to connect to the site. I just love how they get the site back up, and dont say a word at all LOL

I asked on gwonline yesterday if anyone knew why guildwarsguru was down, and the post got deleted without comment.
I'm thinking they're not saying anything because they were ddos attacked, and don't want to encourage whoever did it.

I think they've just switched servers. I still cannot access the site from guildwarsguru.com, but I've been visiting with http://67.15.63.192/ and it works

It was down for me too for a while. Funny thing is I could get through just fine through a proxy. Made me think my IP was banned or something.

same as above, strange.

It was down for both me and my sister a while ago for quite a while.

Based on a tracert, one of the typically used gateways was down. For those of you less technically inclined I'll try to explain. Lets say you live in Chicago and you plan to drive to LA. There are numerous routes you could take, but as you get closer and closer, this number gets smaller and smaller unless you back track. Lets say you can't back track and you get to a point of no-return and the bridge in front of you is washed out. No way to cross and get to your destination. This is, from what I can tell, basically what happened. A computer between you and guru crashed and connections couldn't get past it.
