Is This Game Gonna Be Worth The Purchase??
Malakai
Heya all, Dont know much about Guild Wars but it looks pretty sweet and I just wanted to know is this game going to be worth it. Might consider preordering in the next few days. Thanks for helping and be well

Yes? It's kind of a matter of opinion...so yes, I expect it'll be worth the retail price, if nothing else. There are far worse games for the same price or more.

^ I was just thinking that.
How on earth would you preorder a game you just said you know nothing about?

Well, I'd say that it's definately worth the money- I haven't been able to really enjoy another game since I started playing GW- as Guild Wars is far more fun than any of them. If you think you might like it, there are several articles here that you can read to get a basic idea of the gameplay and different professions, and a pre-order generally only costs $5-10. You can invest that much to try it out for the next couple beta weekends, and if you end up not enjoying the game, you're just out the pre-order amount rather than the retail price. However, I think you'll definately find that it's an extremely good game, and worth every penny you spend on it!

My answer to you is a definate 'yes'. Despite having some kinks to be ironed out, this will be one of the best game you are going to experience for quite a long time. You will not regret pre-ordering it. Try it out during the upcoming BWEs.

Good thing is just ask for Best Buy gift cards like I did at Christmas every year and before you know it, you'll have enouph money to buy Guild Wars and a few future Chapters

I have played many online games from Evercrack, ( it was addicting) to Dark Age of Camelot. I have enjoyed them both, but there were drawbacks in each. Here I feel that groups will work more closely, if they want to survive. I believe that this will be very worth its price. Now the question is will people be willing to put more effort into it rather than just hacking and slashing.

The most play will come from re-rolling and trying new chars, which I look forward to doing.

Unless the oracle is greek. If he's greek then his mad ramblings doesn't mean a thing.
Say wha? "Re-rolling" what?

As it has already bean said you can purchase the program to see if you like it. I mean for $10 how can you really go wrong. You’ll have time for 2 trials yet, and the last one is so close to the release date that you should have a good idea if you would like the game. Remember, though that this is definitely a game to be shared with other people, if you know some one who has bought the pre-buy there are 2 "Friends" passes that go along with it, so if you don't even want to buy the pre-buy you can at least snag one of those.
As far as I'm concerned this is defiantly one of the best MMORPG's I’ve played, and the fact there THERE IS NO MONTHLY FEE makes it all the more enticing.
I can't express how disappointed in Lineage II; shelling out for the fee plus the price of the game is still a sore point with me.

There is no competition...there is only GuildWars!
