Not sure what to do next (1st post)

Hello all ive been playing this game for about a week and have made it past the ascension and such but now im not sure what to do..
I have tried a few battles at the tomb of the primeval kings and lost badly..
I would really like to goto the underworld and temple of the ages and such but i feel like im not quite ready for it yet as im still new to the game..
Any ideas what i should be doing.

Have you finished the game? Or just ascension?

After Ascension there are several more missions before the last one. Besides that, there's Underworld, Fissure of Woe, and PvP (Competition Arena, Team Arena, Tomb of Primevil Kings, Guild Battles).

just ascension and then dragons lair then to droknar and im now at ice caves of sorrow but havent completed that mission yet...
Im starting to feel like unguilded was a mistake lol..

Some ideas...

1) Finish all the missions. The storyline isn't great, but neither is it terrible, and the skill points are good to have.

2) Play in Random Team arena. It's an easy way to get some basic PVP skills quickly.

3) Go hunting for Elite skills. This is my favorite part of the game (yes, I'm crazy).
