First of all, I must say that I am quite experienced at chaos axes as I have been selling them for quite a while. I have tried several dye combinations, and know that dyes are "backwards". Everyone wants a "glowing black" chaos axe, including me. I have asked several people how to dye it black, and nobody knows or i get noob answers such as "dye it black"
Now, before you refer me to the several charts on these forums let me say that I have seen everything on chaos axes here. There is a quite well done dye chart if you search for it, and completly accurate, except for the silver=glowing black chaos axe part.
If anyone knows how dye a chaos axe black, or has an idea to be tested please post here, if you don't feel comfortable posting for all the public to see, you can PM me; however I am sure most people would prefer you to post it here

Isn't "glowing black" a contradiction in terms? A "glow" implies luminance while "black" is a luminance of zero. I suppose if they're faking the glow with some sort of mist/haze/halo effect it might work, but it still seems odd. Have you actually seen a glowing black chaos axe?

This is why this thread exists. To find out if anyone has seen a black chaos axe, and hopefully for someone who has made a black chaos axe. And i suppose glowing black is a contradiction in terms, however it is for lack of better words. I say "glowing" because all chaos axes I've seen have a certain "glow" to them. If anyone knows how to make a "glowing" or any other type of black chaos axe, please post.

so far, i've tried using black ink - makes it a 'dim' chaos axe which isnt really black but sort of grayish, and gray just makes it really white. the other colors just result in the invert of it's color showing.

[Joke] I just dyed a chaos axe black! First I hired the 12 Year Old Express [12YOE] to go steal an egg from a chicken in RuneScape. Then he came back to Guild Wars and traded the egg to me. I took the egg and gave it a day with a female elementalist. This made it glow bright white! She gave the egg to a monk later by my order, so that he may remove the impuritys it picked up from that day. The egg was still glowing white so I squeezed the egg whites out and mixed it up good into a Vial Of Dye [Silver].
It was a beautiful sparkling white dye! Then I talked to Dwayna and she said my chaos axe seemed normal. So I went to Grenth and he inverted the colors and told me I had a defect, but thats solved now! So then I dyed the axe and it is not only freakishly dark, it also refracts light!
The 12YOE costs 67,000 Gold a use. And the monk charged 70,000 Gold AND THE ELEMENTALIST CHARGED 1.6 MILLION GOLD!
I will be at Fissure Of Woe district 674 trying to sell this axe for 75 Million United States Dollars and 2.6 Ingame Gold.
And No luck yet.
Im telling you, its just not worth it! [/Joke]
