Ooooo! Good one!

Heh, I must say GW so far is 4th on my list for "best bang for my buck". Simply because over the years I've spent more hours playing 2 or 3 other games (iirc 1 game is up to like 6,000 hours or so.. heh). Heh, but I still like GW and it's definately been worth my money.

As for the whining and complaining.. thats a normal part of any game really. It's because everyone has their own pre-conceptions and idea's about whats fun and what they want and expect out of a game. And when it doesn't deliver exactly what they want ot expected, they will complain and whine about it. It's also because people find different things fun, so will whine and complain if those things get nerfed.. or just whine and complain because they want more attention focused on what they want in/from the game.

You look at the whine/complain posts and threads and you'll see exactly what I'm saying. Take for example the farming issue - the farmers are defending it and agry over the nerfing.. why? because it impacts on their fun and what they were doing. On the other hand the anti-farmer's were pleased because it stopped something that they felt impacted on their fun factor in the game. Two sides to an issue, both defending their right to have "fun" in the game the way they want to have fun.

But back to the topic at hand. Yep, GW is a very nice game and I'm enjoying playing it a lot. Yes there are aspects of the game I dislike and wish got fixed, but you won't see me whining and complaining about it.. I'll just deal with it. hehehehe.

So true! Many people whine about how the game's economy sucks. Well don't play the game then. I love the game because it has beautiful landscapes, great artworks and so many different skills. There are about 100 skills for every character, but you can only have 8 skills at once. There are infinite amount of skill combinations and endless possibilities.

Everyone complains about the nerfs ANet made to farm spots. However, I disagree. ANet updates Guildwars very frequently and that means the people of ANet cares about this game, unlike Diablo 2, which is filled with dupes and hacks. ANet made this game exploit-free and it constantly bring us new things like faction points.

Hats off to ANet!

Yes yes yes!!!! Finally someone uses the forums to praise the game instead of bash it. Forums are almost always used to bash the game. Thousands of people each day come into here to bitch and complain about the game and threaten to stop playing it lol. Deep down inside that person will keep playing the game anywayz cuz they think it is fun. And if they dont? who cares cuz there are new people playing every day.

I am not necessarily without concerns when it comes to GW. I try to look at the overall picture and wonder to myself, "Am I having fun? Will I play today? Will I play tomorrow?" If any or all of those are answered with a "yes" then I am happy with a game.

Are there some things that need to be fixed? Absolutely. Are they game busters for me? No. I have faith that ANet will continue to grow and learn as they slog through this game's development. Only better and better things can come from it.

And, StandardAI: Usually you are a great poster with insightful thoughts. What's the deal tonight? Let people have a good time expressing their happiness with GW.

Hmmm that is funny cuz the last few days has been the only time that i have been on the forums if you would like to look at my profile some more and see my join date. If you would like to know why i am spending time in the forums for the past week it is because i am away from home for a few weeks on an outdated army computer that cant play GW to save its life, so that is why i am posting so much lately. Thanks for the stats on my posts, when i get home i will be sure to do something useful w/ time such as play GW instead of searching forums and flaming all day

Both sides are rude if you ask me and it this will continue as long as both sides feel justified in doing so.

Guild Wars is a good game. Some aspects of Guild Wars can be improved. Both sides have their own opinions on the matter. Do I care? No. Should I care? No. Do I expect anyone to care about my opinions? No. Everyone is an entitled to an opinion just like everyone is entitled to either agree or disagree with it. Do all the wiseass remarks and flames prove a point? Hmmm. Not really.
