The Final Wish Signet
Zubrowka
You know that feeling. Your team is completely outnumbered by powerful enemies. You're losing health fast and your teammates aren't doing that well either. You look down at your energy bar and it's empty. Death, you know perfectly well, is inevitable. At such moments wouldn't it be nice to able to do one last thing for your team before dying?
Here's the idea: the Final Wish Signet. When you use it, you die--but in a blaze of glory. A monk would radiate a circle of healing. A warrior would shout something inspiration before toppling over, boosting the damage done by surviving teammates. A necromancer would leave curses on surrounding enemies. A elementalist would explode in ball of flame, while a mesmer would go in a blinding flash.
Instead of being killed, you are choosing self-sacrifice for the sake of your team. It's a moral victory in defeat. As the signet would take up a slot, I don't think it would be overused.

depends on how powerful it was. I like the idea though. I also wouldn't mind an overcharge skill or something were like an elemtalist gains unlimited energy and instant recharge on all skills for 15 seconds but then he falls over dead and can't be ressed for 2 miniutes. The signet is recharged like a res signet.

necros already have such
Sereng Amaranth
death nova
Aidan Gawain
It can't be too powerful, though, or you could get the following combo:
Player type one: Vengeance, Arcane Echo, Echo, Arcane Mimicry.
Player type two: Death Nova, Final Wish.
Actions: Final Wish & Death Nova, Vengeance (with Echo/Arcane Echo to get more Vengeance and Arcane Mimicry to get another Echo), repeat. The type two players don't get high DP because Vengeance prevents DP. You could even drop the Death Nova and combine the two types for a team of all Mo/Me and Me/Mo using this on each other.

ffxi already did this. i actually would like to see this as well. bascially this is what they had from what i remember.
Paladin - Invincibility.
White Mage - Full Cure Pty
Monk - Hundred Fists, basically hit alot very fast for a period of time
Black Mage - Cast 2 spells at once
Ninja - self destruct, big boom
red mage - something about energy regen
Warrior - Something with improve criticals, or 100% criticals
You get the idea, there were more but i don't remember.
Some ideas are:
Monk - Full Pty Cure + Rez anyone whose dead
Warrior - 100% chance to critical for a min
Ranger - 1,000 Arrows, not really 1k but something like that
Elementalist - Double Ele damage or a very strong elemental attack
Necromancer - Summon those ghosts, simmilar to that NPC guy in Missions
Mesmer - Create muliple copies of ones self, or something like that.
Then again that is what elite skills are for. Just a thought.

Ok, no really though, I'd like to see something similar. Like the above poster mentioned, other games include an option like this as well. Perhaps it's a signet that can only be used once though - like res signet - so that players won't use FINAL / get raised / FINAL / get raised .. over and over.

It's not quote the same as as death nova though. The key here is that you choose to die rather than be taken down by an enemy. It takes a bit of the sting out of dying. Since you're basically getting something out of nothing, the effect should be significant but not massive. For a monk, I'm thinking something along the line of Heal Area, but with a wider radius. And the signet should only work once like the resurrection signet.
I couldn't come up with something for the rangers. Maybe you would die and all the wild animals area would start attacking the enemies (sort of like that spell whose name I can't remember). The problem is that you don't see aniamls everywhere.

When Rangers use it, Mother Earth Rebells against the enemies as freshly spawned Trees attack the enemies!
or...
When Rangers use it, Mother Earth Rebells against the enemies by creating a flash flood that does X dmg to enemies
or...
When Rangers use it, VERY powerfull traps surround there corpse
or...
When Rangers use it, there bodies explode with arrows and all surrounding enemies take X piercing dmg
or....
When Rangers use it, all allies gain Earth armor of 50
or....
When Rangers use it, 10 Stalks apear otu fo nowhere and devour there enemy..
If this was an elite skill.....
Think about how easy it would be to capture :-P
U would get there and they would blow themselves up hahaha
And what happens if u carry it against our mirror? Will the mirror blow himself up?

i think when rangers die it could make some kind of spirit that helps out your allies. or a suicide flame trap type thing! JIHAD!!! or maybe you just get off one last shot that does a buttload of damage.
in any case.. likelihood? none.

My worry is about balanace, for example if the warrior versio gave everyone a damage boost, this could be deadly if combo with other skills like "I will avenge You!"
If two warriors died, both using a final wish, followed by the 3rd using I will avenge you, it be super fast attacking, tons of damage warrior.
I like the idea of it, but I don't like the idea of anything which would give the whole team benefit after killing someone.
DrSLUGFly
this is a pretty cool idea... perhaps it should be something that is given when you have favor (bad for us euro server players)... since it would be like divine intervention...
And it would have to be notably less powerful than continuing to fight (or at the final boss for a mission or area you would just sacrifice yourself to get it done quickly... though suicide bombers are neat, I wouldn't like it included)
edit: what does jihad (jyhad) have to do with anything? jyhad is a defensive war waged on intruders... that has always been the definition.

Invincibility?! Always critical FOR ONE MINUTE?!??!?! GIANT BIRD KILLING FIVE EN... well okay, the last was a joke, but come on.
How about you just give me a "Win Mission Signet" and we call it even?

If you're team is going down in PvP and you want to go down in a blaze of glpory try dropping an edge of extinction. Make them pay for killing you. People think 40 dmg isn't much but they don't consider the domino effect. Not even spikers can rival the drop on the HP grapth this causes
Zubrowka
Maybe a ranger can transfer his spirit to a nearby animal. If there isn't one in the area, a devourer would pop out from the ground. It'd be pretty funny following your teammates around as a wild beast.

Final wish signet.
Smokey bacon, fried eggs sunny side, baked beans, plum tomatoes, tender button mushrooms, hash browns, two pieces of fried toast.
Washed down with a pot of freshly ground colombian coffee and a three foot long cuban cigar.
Damn, these straps are tight.

hm. final wish signet. lol
Reminds me of one of the classes in shadowbane. It's designed to blow up in such a way that it kills itself and surrounding enemies.
Make way for the suicide bombers. That's what that kind of skill creates.

Yeah I like the idea... it would simply be a matter of balancing it for each class. It would nice for once when I say "Go out in a blaze of glory?" and have it actually being a strategy.
I think it would be best for it to be a non-pvp thing though. Not sure why, something just tells me the application of it would become silly. And you know in one of those 6 party free for all matches that everyone would rush to the middle, explode, and take a screenshot.
