Besides going to the International Team Arenas and hoping that no one else has the same idea as you, there is no way to practice PvP strategies against pre-arranged opponents without resorting to an unrated guild battle. As the focus of late-game Guild Wars is largely PvP, wouldn't it make sense to have some means to practice strategies against friends?

What I propose is a system for the Team Arenas, similar to the current Guild Battle interface. One team of four may challenge another team to a battle which will yield no experience or faction, This battle will just be for practice, just as Unrated GvG is opposed to Rated GvG.

There will be several benefits if such a system was put in place. First and foremost, it would give teams the opportunity to practice strategies for fun, against friends. Think of it similar to Custom Games in battle.net.

Secondly, it would allow small ladders to arrange battles. There are small leagues that run small 4v4 tournaments, and this system will allow these fun events to take place.

In any case, the addition of a system for which teams can practice against each other can enchance Guild Wars' community in many ways. Please comment.

i think it would be fun to fight random bots (PvB? PvAI?.. ill think of the slag later) of course with no rank, faction or any other little gift that PvP gives you, it would just be for testing out skill and getting a hang of combos or what not, simply because ive never done PvP and when the day comes that i do i dont want to hear "OMG NOOB" because i have no clue what to do in the PvP games.. and believe me ive seen videos where i literly sit there for 10 mintues thinking "what?"

no flaming here but......

PvAI/B isn't that considered the mobs right outside the gate? I could be wrong, give alittle more description on this, it may look diffrent to me than you.

Also I have done a bit of PvP in the arena just for fun (you win some, you lose alot!) dont have many skills yet but I like what your asking. No more random parties to play aginst. I would not mind to get some guys together and just go in and fight. It would allow for people to stop just hacking away and test skills againt other people. Allowing for Guild tranning and team building.

Some things would be are the options asscoated with this tranning arena. Some things like the option to change skills during combat. Testing and changing skills would be nice to allow for tweeking during combat.
Multiple lifes with no time limit so you can hack away all day on your friends.
Death penelty off/on option

Just throw some options that can be turned on and off in before the match begins. Dont know but it sounds good to me but seems like a ton of work for Anet. Maybe they could put it in the next upgrade.

Yeah, PvAI is just going and fighting any other mob in the game. What I was thinking was more along the lines of the second poster, with the Guild practices, and training mode type of options. With the coming of a spectator mode as well, this next step doesn't seem too far-fetched.

well thats just hack and slash, but from what i understand PvP has many diffrent modes

for example they have the timed, mass team, and i think one with a ghostly hero you have to kill/defend or something.. i dont really know any others, but if anyone else has done PvP it would be nice to have some more examples of modes
