how do u calculate the chance of a critical hit? i always here that axes are much better than swords because of the critical hits, but i dont know how to determine the chance of getting one

From my understanding, critical hits are based on the weapon attribute (Axe Mastery, Sword Mastery, etc) The higher the marks you have in that, the greater your chance for a critical hit.

I can only imagine that there are more things that contribute to a high critical rate, but none that are so easily changeable as the weapon attribute.

People prefer axe over sword for criticals because of its high max dmg. An axe has a max dmg of 28, while a sword has a max dmg of maybe 22? Not too sure on swords.

So if criticals hits were to appear, based on the higher max dmg, axe would be dealing awesome crits.

This is the theory I heard somewhere on the forum, cannot remember where to find it now.
