If you're having truly innocent wonderings, then you can appreciate that this thread merely draws attention to them, and that can only end badly. Either people get scammed, or there're more people running around using exploits...

if that stuff were true, it would be further spread from there IMO. our econemy would be alot worse than it is now

Hmm.. if i would use it? Dont know.. I think most people farmed - that doesnt seem to be the problem?? If a guy post a new farming area here, that wouldnt be a problem, would you think?

You're comparing posting a link to a website that claims to enable you to do things 'Anet never intended for you to do' and advertises having macros on it as well to posting about a farming spot?

Farming isn't an intended aspect of the game, judging from ANET's response. Moreso, the need to farm. Things like the Rune Traders were implemented to reduce that perceived need. Farming is also discouraged through nerfs to farming spots. However, it's not bannable at all. It just conflicts with the vision of what ANET wants the game to be.

Macros and exploits, on the other hand, are severe violations of the EULA.

No, farming anything was never an exploit. An exploit is when you use a design flaw of the game - a good example is the "kill doppleganger unlimited number of times for unlimited exp" exploit. Opening a chest or killing lightning-drakes is not an exploit.

Anet has nothing against farming, or at least they say they dont. They do however not like bots and scripts, and will nerf areas they find are being abused by botters.

Posting links to macros that violate the EULA or any outside unverified programs that promise unscrupulous rewards will earn you a swift slap with the banstick.
