i think that you can find a max damage one outside dunes of despair you need 5 encrusted lodestones for it not sure but worth a check

Chest farming? Anywhere there are chests. Of course, don't expect to find any areas with high-yield chests and also no monsters...

White dye CAN be made. There's a thread about it on one of these forum sites somewheres from a few weeks back. It involves some combination of Silver Dye and Dye Remover, I believe.

Blue/purple/gold items drop, as stated, from high-level areas most frequently.

And yeah, learn how to do Forge rushes.

"Perfect" perhaps not, but you can find max damage axes on several of the desert collectors.
