Is a secondary ranger with 5 Marksmanship just as good with a bow as a primary ranger with 5 Marksmanship, or is there a difference? (and if so, what exactly?)
I'd much rather be wearing Necro armour, but I intend to wield a bow and use a lot of ranger attack skills...but from an RPing perspective, I'm going for more of a dark minion-master.
Thoughts?
N/R or R/N?

N/R is cooler, but R/N is probaby better if your going to use bow.

if you're going to be using a lot of death magic skills, i'd say go for N/R because of the extra energy + regen. but if you're using lots of attack skills, you'll want expertise to lower the energy cost, which means R/N.
you can't really have best of both worlds. in the long run you'd only be nerfing yourself.
and while the necro armor may look nicer, ranger armor is infinitely better (arguably the best in the game...)

But wouldn't the energy regen help to pay for some of the energy cost of those attack skills anyway?
My main question remains, though: Can a secondary ranger still use a bow just as well as a primary ranger?

As a minion master you'd be much better off going N/R so you can get your death magic above 12 and benefit from soul reaping. Minions are pretty costly in energy so you'll want that extra regen as well.
To answer your question, 5 marksmanship is equivalent no matter if it's from your primary or secondary class. The only benefit a primary ranger would have in that case is if they were using expertise to lower the energy cost of their marksmanship skills.
