How high can I set the visual settings before I start losing framerate? And if anyone could tell me how to see my framerate in game that would be really helpful.

Don't know about that video card, but it should run fine on highest quality with AA turned off. As far as showing your framerate in-game...click on shortcut properties and add "-perf" to the command line.

So, it'll look like this:
"c:\Program Files\Guild Wars\GW.exe" -perf

It shouldnt get to laggy depends on the resolution you definetly want the post process effects and all that good stuff once you get that one you should put it at 3/4 quality I have a p863mhz with 384mb of ram and a radeon 9800 pro and I am able to play the game at full settings but I get bogged down by my processor and that shouldnt be a problem for you just dont try to get the AA settings up or your resolution to crazy and you'll be set.

how do people get such wierd RAM numbers? How did you get 1016??

that video card is getting near the very old mark. you probably will need to put AA on 2 or lower and run at 1024x768.

20 fps is incredibly slow. The human eye processes 64 FPS...so if you aren't getting close to that you are getting graphic lag.

trust me dude dont worry with your computer when you get to a system like mine is when you need to worry about fps. With my system at full settings its ok in fights my fps sux as expected like in pvp 5 or so but you get used to it.

I think about 12 FPS is when the human eye determines what it's seeing as motion, cruddy motion, but motion nonetheless. You don't "need" any certain framerate to play, hell, I used to play WoW just fine on my old system at all of 15-20 FPS, didn't bother me one bit, I suppose you get used to it after a little while. Not sure I could ever go back to that after running everything at a solid 60 FPS though In any case though, don't worry too much about your framerate, as long as you find it playable and are happy with it.

I would suggest you get another GFX card befor you start fiddling with settings, FX5200 is not made for gaming in any form, you will miss out on so much eye candy and performance with it...

BTW ...who in the world could sell you ar PCI card with a P4 3.0Ghz PC ?!?

You can get most low-budget cards in a PCI version too, belive it or not but there is a lot of old PC's out there still...BUT not with a P4 3.00Ghz CPU.

I would guess the poster have an PCI-Express slot maybe, instead of an AGP so I would suggest spending those few extra bucks to get an PCI-E card..Im quit sure the FX5200 dont come in a PCI-E version...And still if it do it isent worth it, if you want it to play on.
