whats with the deal on griffions

When im trying to attempt a griffion run i execute skills but most of the times i die when im near 400-500 hp.
For instance:
Im excutuing skills and all of a sudden the DP pops up and my hp bar just jumps from 500 to 0, i even have healing hands on me and all the enchants from the regular build.
Im just wondering has this happened to anyone else or is it just me.

check out if there isn't any rockshot devourer near you

I do, and its always clear of rockshots. I'm just pretty aggrivated on 10 failed runs becuase of this incident.

Yeah, often the moment you go below 1/2 health final thrust will kill you when you. Healing hands heals you about 17hp per hit (or at least with my attribute distribution) but final thrust will hit for well over 60 if you are under half health and with 10 griffons on you, you will die almost instantly.

Do you have a stance or weapon/mod, whatever, that boosts your health up at a certain moment? You may die if this criteria is removed and you haven't recovered your health, therefore dropping it back below zero.
Like health +25 while in a stance maybe....takes a hit...stance ends...health goes POP! lol.

when u are less than 50% health 20 things using final thrust on you will kill you

sometimes they all use final thrust at once... thus giving you 8-12 critical hits at the same time - no healing hands will help you there... thats why i am using shield of judgement

Or maybe you're artificially raising your hp using endure/defy pain or some other spell that gives + to hp. Once it ends, it subtracts whatever it originally gave you, from your current hp. That might explain the sudden drop.

The other thing is how i use bonnetti's and it doesn't block "75%" more like "50%" but maybe its just me, i've gotten them down with my timing on the lag, i guess im getting use to the lag spikes here and there.

they should have just put in a mesmer type monster there just like they did with the arcanist in snake dance...
btw, hunting griffons in desert is kinda lame and too easy...

Much the same but there are fewer of them and more dispersed. But it pretty much works the same way, they only seem to drop worse.

i used to hunt in snake dance until it's been nerfed to a point where it got pretty much useless to fight the blessed ones. (which aren't not that much harder to kill, but drops suck hard now)
the challenge with the desert ones is to take on 12 of them as a squishee-monk and survive it. (best with 3-6 minos in your back when rushing in )
i personally hate the desert ^^ there is only one reason to go there: kill griffons for some quick cash refill - after 3-4 runs i am getting sick of the burning sun, the endless dunes and the darn devourers anyway.
@katalyst: it's divx pro encoded... normal divx should play it... if there are still probs send me a pm and i can up some other version for you.

the 75% avoiding from gladiator defense is much better than the 75% avoiding from bonetti
strange isn't it ?
and I know it wasn't just bad luck because it was during griffon farming
which means I've done the same thing like 200 times and the results are the same
glad defense > bonetti defense (and it shoudn't)

I alternate Gladiators defence and Bonettis defence. Both seem to work equally well for me, and when one's used up the other's charged up and ready to go.
I do most of my damage through monk PBAoE spells, and Gladiators. My sword skill is something like 2 on my farming build, it's only there to gain adrenalin and energy (I've got a zealous blade). When health runs low I run a Healing Breeze or two during Gladiators defence.
I have little problem taking on two groups as long as no ยค#!""#"@ devourers turn up without me noticing. I keep Sprint just to outrun those damn devourers (you can't outrun griffins even with sprint - big hint for collecting them without also collecting devourers). I don't do more than two groups at a time, because of the risk of getting Minotaur adds. I don't think I could handle more than one minotaur group + 2 griffin groups.
It's not the perfect build, but it works for me.
Of course, I have to remember clicking my stances as soon as they charge, and to attack with the sword when a griffin goes down to keep the adrenaline building.

Sometimes my char just erm. Falls and dies for no reason . Even if thers no monsters. Could be this.
