Necro summonner question

Hi, I have a question to ask about the summoning necro. Would the elite skill "order of the vampire" work on summoned monsters?(such as bone fiends) Or does it only work on human party players?

Well, it says, "party member," so I don't think so. Barbs or Mark of Pain would work instead.
