I installed my x850xt which connects to the power supply like my old card. When i turned on my comp my cd/dvd drives were missing. When i go into BIOS the drives are detected and i checked the IDE and power extension cables, those are all connected properly. (pleas for help)
to be honest....I don't care WHY the problem is happening anymore. So we'll just force it to fix itself. open your registry(run - "regedit" {enter}) Locate this key...use F3 to find it. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/CurrentControlSet/Control/Class/{4d36e965-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318} On the File menu, click Export. In the File name box, type savedkey, and then click Save. Click the REG_MULTI_SZ data type UpperFilters, and then click Delete on the Edit menu. click yes if it asks you to verify. Click the REG_MULTI_SZ data type LowerFilters, and then click Delete . Quit Registry Editor, and then restart the computer. we'll just force windows to hard install the drive again. |
