I was just wondering for my E/W, does ward of melee and other wards ONLY work for allies if i cast it, or do they work for me AND the allies, Thanks.

They work for you and allies as long as you rare within the glowing circle

You can verify by checking the top left corner of the screen to see if you are within the Ward's effect.
