Wielding a level 16 (12+1 helm +3 super rune) nerfbat with lengthened duration of money bleeding, NcSoft has successfully curbed the rampant economy from overheated farming once dominating crystal desert, south shiverpeak and underworld. A fleet of expert runners also expressed willingness to relocate out of the once crowded beetletun area to reduce operating expenses. There are signs that the NcSoft still believes the economy is growing too fast, so it sends signals that it will continue to raise ecto price and promote the intrinsic leetness of fissure armor in an effort to drain money from economy.

“I bought a lot of ecto at 3k each and sold later for 10k. I think I did my fair share towards building a healthy economy”, commented Mvpberto, a prominent and well-paid trader at GWguru who, on a totally unrelated news, was accused to steal pocket change from his 9-year-old innocent nephew.

Of course, the supply-side of other items may not look so brilliant as ectos. After the glut of 15%>50% longbow slaughtered the entire pricing system on bow market, traders, who once drived the 15%>50% shortbows to 500K range began to express concerns in private situations. There is a seemingly trend of market segmentation as, with the aging of baby boomers, the items with medium quality began to lose appeals to the general public. Some natural born traders, with instinct of sensing market shift, began to head for the door as observed in the fire sale of Spinal Reaper.

Even the discount retailing sector is felling some crunch. Ken Sleepy, who may be the only regular collector item seller at Lions Arch, saw sales plummeting over the last week. “You know something is wrong with the market when a level 20 player, wearing fissure armor, begin to haggle on a 2k item.” He pondered. Nevertheless, he decided to put more efforts in marketing and began to seriously bump his month-old advertising post in GWguru sell board. “No, I won’t reduce my workforce as Kodak did today. That, is what I call lame.” He saluted all his secret contractors. http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...d.php?p=293325

yes Anet completely screwed up the economy

rune prices got killed due to rune traders selling at super low levels, desert collectors made a HUGE glut of top end weapons that can barely sale for over 1.5k
you cant even give away a 20/20 storm artifact for more than 100g

Stupid ANet. Half of us have beaten the game, it shouldn't take us a billion years to afford friken endgame armour.
I made 50k gold on my first character alone -- not even farming. Since then I've gotten to 90k with THREE characters working for it! WTF.
I just bought some 15k armour to SPITE you, showing that I still have money left. Endgame is on the way. Farming time.

Actually GW did a very good job on economy side.

There are two kinds of money in game: the one generated from game itself, and the one generated from other players. GW is decreasing money from game and increasing money spent to game. So before rune trader, we sell to each other and did nothing good to money drain. Now everyone buy runes from trader instead of searching the market. Then dye trader, then raw material trader, then scroll trader etc. I won't be surprised if they put a collector broker in LA and charge a fee to find the collector item for you.

Right now, I am that collector broker.

You sure that that collector is giving the longbow? I thought that that one was a composite/recurve...
