Hello Guys and Gals,

Although I'm new to MMORPG games I am not new to gaming. I have a few questions I can't answer by searching the forums and reading the faq.

1. Is it possible through the publisher or developer to obtain a 2nd retail activation code without purchasing another boxed copy at full price? (My wife and I intend to play at the same time.)

2. Will there be a bulletin board or guild advertisement type of system for prospective members seeking guilds and guilds seeking members? (I'm actively searching for a good guild, I plan to preorder and pickup a beta key for this weekend.)

3. Is joining a guild really necessary?

Thanks! in advance for your answers.

1. Im not sure about that. It sounds like a good idea personally but I still think you'd have to buy a second game box.

2. These forums along with a few other listed under the guild wars foum index on the main site would be your best bet. (Though Guru Is by far the best IMO)

3. Nope! you don't HAVE to join a guild but its nice. You get a nice regular group of people to play with for one, and a kickass cape >_>

Hello Kurthan and welcome ahem.. anyways

To answer number 1: From all the info I know of, no there isn't another way to grab a new cd key for your wife other than to buy one from a store.

Number 2: I think a lot of guildwars forum type stuff has a section where people recruit and what not. Although I don't check them. The Guild Auditorium in the topics of this forum has discussion about Guilds and the likes. So that might be a place you could look at.

And for number 3: I know for sure it isn't really that important to joining a guild, but you could just make a guild with you and your wife, because that is what I'm doing with my girlfriend... of course she has to be the guild leader though.. lol Anyhow its all up to you though. I haven't experianced what joining a guild would be like though.

Kurthan,
My wife and I play together, and as far as I know, you have to purchase two copies of the game. Hey, we gotta keep them afloat anyway what with no subscription fees. Yay!

There is a forum on GWGuru about guilds. However, you can join the guild that my wife and I have made! We'd love that.

And no, joining a guild isn't necessary. But it sure is fun. We spent the last beta playing with new friends, playing with guildies, and playing by ourselves (with henchmen). And by far, our best experiences were when we were playing with other "real" people.

Anyway, I will be there, from opening moments until.... oh, forever from now. And at least through Sunday of the first weekend. Going to burn it up the first five days or so. So, look us up! And welcome to Guild Wars.
