I have done evrything in this thread and my comp still shuts down with the blue screen popping up
I have: 3.20 GHZ, 512 MB of RAM, 512 RAM, nvidia GEFORCE 7600 GC
PCI Express
When it the blue screen pops up it says:
BAD_POOL_HEADER
BAD_POOL_CALLER
NO_IRQL_NOT_EQUAL_OR_LESS_THAN
49 processes running in the background
I can't play nightfall because my comp shuts down in Kamadan and intro movie for nf

Ahh thank you it runs just like it use to before I started getting that driver error. I never really had that much lag but on my way to Vabbi it started that crap. Either way Thank You!

First of all, BIG thanks. This enabled me to play GW (Yahtendi).
But one question: Is it possible to load GW with 3d-analyze AND the parameters like -heapisze xxx or -fps ..... ?

Alright, well this is almost on the last page and I figured I would bump it up for the people who have Intel cards like myself. The guide was pretty helpful and 3danalyze helped cut down on the lag. I still lag quite a bit, but at least it helped some. Also lets you get into some areas in Vaabi that the Intel card alone won't let you go into.

I have a problem with a VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP

Had to add some memory, but I can play GW on my laptop now thanks to this thread. Sweet!

I dl'd it, I ran it, it opened gw, and it looked GOOOD. It's never been able to handle anything above minimum graphics. I love this thing. Now to see if it works ^_^ *Takes monk to Vabbi*
Oh man, I cannot get over how sweet this looks. Thank you so much! I turned it on the highest detail and it's not blurred out yet (it usually does that instantly). Did the overworld maps ("m") always have the detailed map in a box thing just inside the max screen? Wow... I never got that on low detail.
ZOMG
It just loaded Wehhan Terraces.
It's never been able to do that before.
It works! Thank you so much! WEEE!
...Get Razah (yes, all the way from Wehhan) or finish essay..... >.>

The soloutions listed here helped me in the past, but I've recently installed Vista on my laptop, and can not get the game to run. It all seems to work fine, but when I try and select a character it takes a very long time to load the area, and when it finally does, it takes an even longer time to load all the characters and everything moves extremely slow.
This is definetely not a problem with my internet connection, so I can only assume it has something to do with Vista. None of the drivers I can find, including the fixes listed here seem to be compatable with Vista. Does anyone have any advice, or some way around this? I'd really love to continue playing Guild Wars, but I'm not willing to roll back to XP to do so.
I'm running it on an Acer Aspire laptop. Intel Pentium M processor 735a. 60gb hard drive, 512mb of ram, and I believe it's the 910 chipset.

Roll back to XP... It'll save you a lot of headaches. Personally, I'm going *nowhere near* vista until they figure out all the bug fixes.

As a developer, I can tell you that Vista is buggy as hell. It's not good for anything at this point. As a gamer ... well, if you like slow, stick with it If you prefer to be able to play your games ... stay the heck away from it.

GAH! THREAD NECROMANCY! BANISH!
Though I must say that the OP's info looks like a good piece of research. Have to remember it for a guide I'm writing.

On my Dell Laptop Insperon 1100 (pushing 4+ years old now)
P4 2.2 ghz
512 mb ram
crappy Intel on-board 845G video card (using 64 mb or ram)
Using the Intel Graphics Accelerator 6.14.10.3943 WHQL driver using these switches listed above -perf -noshaders -nosound in 800x600 fullscreen resolution.
GW is playable.. not pretty, no sound .. but playable in 800x600.
This thread should be made sticky again.

512 MB RAM
Intel Celeron M Processor 370 (1.5ghz)
SiS M661MX 64MB VGA
So what exactly is wrong. Is it me or the game? Can anyone help me out here, I really wanna finish NightFall and I never will at this rate.
(Yes I am playing on a laptop, dont go into it please.)

System:
Intel Celeron 1.80 GHz
640 MB RAM
Integrated Intel Graphics Chip thingy 64 MB
Guild Wars runs just fine most of the time, however sometimes my computer just restarts for no apparent reason and I get the error message "your computer has just recovered from a serious error." Another error I get is when my display driver fails. Any theories/explanations on why this happens?

Hey, i have a bad case of laptop lag.
My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite A105-S4164
XP media center edition, Solo Processor 1.83 ghz, 1024 DDR2 SDRAM and Intel Integrated 945G graphics.
I average around 15 fps if i put my graphics in the middle of the bar. I'm kinda hesitant to put it all the way down since it kinda destroys the beauty of the game. Is this normal or is there a way to tweak this for higher performance? A lot of this dealt with 8 series graphics, so i was wondering if there were any 945 users out there. Thanks!

Regarding the 3danalyze in the original post, I was wondering if anyone knew which things I'm supposed to checkmark when I start it up? I used to have this on a different computer, and it allowed me to play GW on there, and now I find I'm going to have to use that same computer again, but I can't remember which boxes I need to checkmark. Since the picture showing which ones is gone, I was curious if anyone knows/remembered. A million thanks if you do.

The above link (from the OP) is dead. Would someone please post an updated screenshot of the 3d-Analyze set-up for GW.
Thanks!

I wish people would stop referring to integrated video as a "card". It is not a "card" and it just confuses people to call it that. Some really low-end systems that use integrated graphics don't even have a slot to plug in a "card".
Integrated video is video functions built into the motherboard chipset. There is no card to replace, there isn't even a separate chip.
Some "on-board" graphics controllers (usually in laptops) are separate chips, which may or may-not be socketed, but there is still no "card" in the sense of a standard AGP or PCIe slot. (Although some laptops can actually have a mini-PCI slot.)
In those systems that have integrated video and an AGP/PCIe slot, you don't "replace" the integrated graphics card with another one - you simply "disable" the on-board graphics in the BIOS.
Btw, if you do install a new graphics card into one of those systems, be sure to disable the on-board graphics. While you can often run both at the same time, the on-board graphics will use up some of your main RAM.
And, for any of you planning to buy a new low-end (cheap) desktop system - get one that at least actually has PCIe slot you could use to upgrade the video later.

I'm sure even the OP has a new pc by now, consider that the thread was made in '05, same goes with the link. As for the rest, integrated graphic = crap.

That really wasn't helpful. If I had the cash, of course I'd go buy myself a new PC. That's not really the topic here, but thanks for caring =/
I'm merely trying to make the most out of what I've got, and I'm sure I'm not the only one in that situation...
If someone has/still uses the 3d analyze to run GW, please be so kind as to post a screenie with the 'right' boxes ticked.
It would be of great assistance
Thanks in advance!

If you have a laptop, when does it crash? I had the same problem when I leave my laptop flat it heats up. So I have a small piece of plastic to keep the laptop propped up, thus allowing the fans to blow out the hot air. ;D DIY ftw!
Good Luck

Schroedinger
Intel 915GM/GMS/910GML family chipset. Integrated graphics on a Sony Vaio, about 3 yrs old.
Problems:
1. Reboot with instantaneous BSoD and the reboot serious system error tech lines:
"BCCode:ea BCP1:FC61ADA8 BCP2:81E8C5C8 BCP3: FCF98A58
BCP4: 0000001 OSVer:5_1_2600 SP:2_0 Product: 768.1"
Notes two files in a created temp directory wer[number string]:Sysdata.xml and mini112907-05.dmp
The two files seem to have device info in them, plaintext.
2. Freezing.
These problems happen ONLY in combat, and oddly enough seem to be much more common when fighting the Charr. No problems in cities or in inventory.
Tried elevating the PC, reinstalling the VAIO drivers, and -dx8 -noshaders.
Any advice?
