Best place to meet people

Hey. Part of the problem I was having during the last BWE was that I had trouble finding people to join a team and quest. I dont know why I was having trouble, maybe i didnt ask enough or was on at bad times, but I did alot of soloing and questing on my own. I was just wondering where is the best place to meet people for quests and such? (I pretty much chilled in and around ascalon for the entire BWE).

Now dont get this post wrong. I am not dissing the game in any way. I happen to luv this game and cant wait till it is released. Just wondering how i can make it more enjoyable.

Thanks alot.

outposts are made specifically to make parties for the mission. if you are having a lot of problems with finding groups for EAs, questing, or exploring, i suggest you try to find a PvE guild.

A little paraniod. aren't we?

HOW DARE YOU POST SUCH BLASPHEMY!

Um, I'm probably not the best source for this, as I didn't really do much PvE in the betas, but I would suggest jumping around districts in the mission launch areas. There isn't much else I can tell you, really. Then again, I usually don't try to hard to help heretics

be a monk and hang out in the mission area of the mission you want to complete if you are half decent not too low level for the area i doubt you will have any trouble finding a group that will pick you up

so.. u came the last BWE... well thats a really bad time, because so many people are using their lvl 20 character having fun and especially the 2 new missions, thats why theres a huge drop of players in any mission, and many of them moved to pvp such as tombs or gvg. thus finding party might be tough, but i'm sure if u buy the retail, things will be differenet as everyone starts at lvl 1 (cept for the preorder ones)

Flamebaiting in these boards? Pssh, no way! I'll thwap them with my fairy wand -_-

As for meeting people, if you're adventurous and have a thick skin, you can always try the GWG IRC chat. The info is stickied in the off-topic section. I find that fansites forums are the best way to meet people. Each BWE, I see people that I know from different forums every single time I go to Lion's Arch.

Also, a guild helps a lot with meeting new people.

Yeah I noticed the same thing the second to last beta with my mes/fire elem I had a hard time to find a group that actually wanted me Now I consider myself to be a half decently skilled PvE'r but noticing what I did this last beta I played a Warrior/Monk and I noticed I would be invited like madd!!! But usually I would do the Inviting Cuz I had pretty good sucess on group assembling 3 Warrior/** along with 1 Ele/Mo or Mes/Mo The warrior's raped everything and got healed whenever we ran low of energy or wahtever. So yeah try being a Monk or a Warrior and you being invited will greatly improve!

Sincerely,
Hellsent_Saint!

People that preordered will be level one as well. Everyone but the alpha guys will start at level 1 from what i understand. We just get early access.

Well, I've been hanging around D'Alessio Seaboard for several hours until I got the hint: it's not Seaboard, but See I'm BORED! Euro districts as well as the International ones had one or two people wandering around the place at the most! But I'm confident it'll change after release...

I just soloed Pre because it was easy enough to do so and I could never really find anyone in sync with my quest log for long and some of the quests just aren't meant for two people (Poor Tenant that you can't get two people to do, Gift for Althea, Poison Devourer...). If I needed to go to a difficult area I would go to the outpost closest and ask for a party. Since I had a monk I could usually get someone to come with me.

In Post it's radically different. I ran through several of the missions with the party that I picked up in Ascalon City. When that group disbanded, I just picked up one of the parties at the outposts. Party-grinding goes really easy in Post, at least I've found.
