Hey, I'm new to these forums and forum browsing/lurking about GW in general. I've been playing the game for about a month. I have to say that a lot of the problems that people are complaining about on this board and others really don't effect the common player that much. Personally, neither I nor my guildmates have noticed many of these problems, or we are not affected by them. I might be going out on a limb, but I would say that a great majority of players aren't as jaded as some posters on this and other forums. So, I'd like to express the opinion of my guildmates and me here: we are enjoying the game immensely; it seems like one of the smoothest launches of an online game; the game is solid but there is always room for improvement, and here are our suggestions.
Don't worry about NPC control for now. NPCs are just there are as placeholders in the case that you can't find a group, to us, it's ok that they're a little stupid. At least they're predictable.
Please enforce or allow your EULA to be enforced. Some players I've met were wantonly offensive in the worst way. At least let us kick players from a group while in a mission or combat area.
Please include some more guild support in the game. It would be nice to see some more stats about wins, losses, or general. How about a more detailed guild roster, where we can see all of a person's secondary characters, or the ability to change which character is listed as your primary? How about a guild mailbox or bulletin board, where other guilds could post messages or challenges?
That's about all we got..sorry it was so random. Please feel free to agree, disagree or add to any suggestions, peoples.

glad to see someone other than me can see past the very few flaws of this game
The Kick function has been talked about a few times and there have been many ups and downs, so whether or not if they do it is unkown
as for suggestions... well there are so many NPC just standing around who say nothing, like in Ascalon settlement north of Lion's Arch who just say nothing.. id like them to at least give me a nice "Hello" instead of turing and just staring at me

I agree with you on letting us kick players in combat areas. Either they're being idiots and rushing faar ahead of the group and end up dieing, being revived, and doing it all over again, or..I've actually seen this quite a number of times...they ask to go on a mission with you, you invite them, enter the mission, and right when you enter he says he's "going afk". Nothing annoys me more than a person who's splitting the gold and experience in another part, and gaining 2K experience and possibly gold items that you wanted, all while doing nothing except playing another game.
More guild support would be nice. My current guild only consists of of 3 other people, because we're friends just having fun, but soon we'll get more serious. The game is called Guild Wars, why not add as much to the guilds as you can?

Wow, fast replies. Forgive me for saying, but these boards are hella active.
Gaara, while I agree if some more NPC dialog would be nice, I think ANet has more important things to focus on. And let's face it, the writing in this game is pretty bad; I usually don't read their dialog anyway.
And about the kick function, I'm in favor of having it being a possibility, even if all the other players have to unanimously vote or whatever.

Just give me toggleable capes and I'll be happy.
Still I must say that NPC AI has been better, they don't get stuck as much, but all I think most of us would like are basic commands like:
- Stay Here
- Move here
- Return to my Side
At least it would make it easier to do things like pulling mobs, etc... they are basic commands, at the best. But would be a great addition, I think it would please everyone if they added commands like this.
Plus they could implement them into ranger pets, which BADLY need commands. I hate the fact I have no control over my pet during combat.
