Question on -10 (while attacking)

I am still newbie to the game... My question is i got a half-moon bow
15 to 28 dmg req.8
13 dmg alway
-10 def (while attacking)
+23 health.

My question is if i used this bow, when i am attacking will i get -10 def on me or will the foe get -10 def from my bow.

You get the -10 armor while you attack.

All bonuses on weapons apply to our character.

you deal more damage.
you get health bonus,
you get health degen of 1
you do fire damage,
you gain +5 armor,
etc.

They apply to your character. And after that, like % damage increase, you deal the increased damage to your target.

really nice bow you have, for a new player. Should do you well for some time.

Is there away i can get change the -10 mod on my bow by upgrading and etc...?

nope, it's inherent to the bow. It's not a bad negative though. I found a hammer last night, max dmg heavy giant slayers hammer, +11% dmg always. However I doubt I'll be able to give it away as it's negative is -5 energy, and given that warriors have rather sucky energy to begin with... well I think you get the picture
