Is there a way?

I decided to take my latest character through the game without doing any of the major mission quests. I have done every single solo quest and almost explored all that I can. There is only a small part of the map just to the south west of Marthans Grotto (spelling?) in Southern Shiver peaks that I need to check out. I fought down Lonars pass and even got my armor infused, I just need to find a way to the desert and the fire Islands. Does anyone know of a way to get there without having to do Santum Cay or Thunderhead Keep? I fear my little adventure is coming to an end and it's sad.........this was by far the most fun I had playing GW. I'm just praying that I missed some NPC out in the environment that has a big ship to take me where I need to go.

Crystal desert is unreachable without doing sanctum cay (I have a feeling somebodies going to pop me a stupid answer like "WELL MY PVP CHARACTER IS IN HOH AND HE DIDN"T DO IT!"). Ring of Fire is undoable without thunderhead keep. If you've already ran from ascalon to droknars then ran from beacons to the mission under fishermans haven, I think you've done it all.

Ya, I've done it all. I don't think there's an empty part on my map that I couldn't walk to. Been as far east as The Falls in the Maguuma Jungle, As far North as Watchtower Coast and as far south as Port Sledge and Marhan's Grotto in Southern Shiverpeaks. I'm feeling really teased by the boat in west Ice Floe just outside of Marhan's Grotto....need to find a way down to it. That would be so sweet. Wish there was a way. Guess I'll go back and see how many missions I can do solo now while waiting for Grenth's footprint to open.
